I have a couple problems with this place. I went in for a haircut. The girl that did my hair did not ask me how long I wanted it in the back. she just started cutting. (When I came in I told the main person that I wanted it to be should length so that's about 6 inches cut off maybe since my hair was way too long. He said either her or another guy could do it. I wasn't familiar with specific stylists so I said either is fine). She started cutting I asked her how much she has cut because I noticed the length was barely changed much and she said she wasn't done yet and thought we needed to talk about the length. Ok so I gave her some time and she continues to cut maybe for 15 minutes and she says she is done, but it was only cut off 2 inches in the back. I don't know how she decided on that length, she just cut it arbitrarily at a length that she chose. I wanted more length cut so she had to go through it all again and redo it which she did within 5 minutes. Later I thought how could she redo the whole thing properly and take only 5 minutes. I don't think the haircut was very sophisticated. The last time I did my hair at another salon it took over an hour for them to do the cut and I felt like it was a a lot of technique involved. It was carefully pinned up in sections and each part was meticulously cut. Not this time, I felt like it was done very quickly and not carefully, just chopping here and there so it look shorter and that's it.

I asked for the same style that I already had I just wanted it shorter because the last time I cut my hair was almost 8 months ago it had grown out a bit and gotten too long. This time she basically did the cut in 5 minutes (not counting the first time when she didn't cut it to the right length) like it was just cutting without much skill involved. After she was supposedly done, she noticed some strands out of place and had to snip some more probably because it wasn't quite right and she didn't know what was wrong with it. I always give a tip anyways for any service I get so I still tipped them. I think this place is fine for a simple haircut or if you are a guy but if you want a sophisticated haircut go to a more professional salon.

Even if it does not look terrible it doesn't mean it was because of a good cut. I could have cut it myself to this length and it would still look similar but that doesn't mean I know what I'm doing. ANY shorter style about this length looks fine on my face which is why it doesn't look bad but that has nothing to do with the actual haircut, if that makes sense.

Also the massage she did at the beginning was extremely hard - it was the hardest scalp massage ever and it even hurt. I thought maybe some people like that and it's better for cleaning purposes so I didn't say anything about that.

Also the place is located in an isolated place. Parking is very tight and I could barely park because the driveway is so narrow. I went next door to grab some food and did not feel safe. There are some sketchy people walking around. There was a guy that was staring at me as I was eating and walking out of the restaurant and I didn't feel...

This was my first visit to this salon. I looked at all the pics and read the reviews on line. I was a bit skeptical because the price points were so much more than I’ve ever paid for a haircut before. But in truth, you get what you pay for.

My hairstylist of 10 yrs passed away, so I recently went to Great Clips and received the worlds worst haircut. 3 different people were in my hair trying to fix the last one’s mistake. Needless to stay, I had botched shoulder length hair (one side was long and the other side had short, non-blended layers that stuck out every which way; trust me it looked horrible and very crooked).

I decided I needed to see a Professional and so I chose Cali Hair Studio. (I’m so glad I did too!)

Right when I walked in, I was greeted by name, temperature taken, instructed to wash my hands and sat in the waiting area for no more than 3 minutes tops! Tommy took me back to the most comfortable shampoo chair I’ve ever sat in, he washed my hair, gave an enticing scalp massage that basically put me in a calm, relaxing and trusting state so he could work his magic on my hair.

I asked him to fix the cut I had. I asked for an inch taken off the length and to help correct and blend out the crooked layers I already had. (I was thinking more of a choppy bob look but his vision was so much better!) He was very professional and thorough and took his time on my hair making sure it was even throughout just like I asked. It has been quite some time since I felt that comfortable in someone’s chair.

He gave me a style I never expected. It’s still shoulder length, like a bob but with edgy wispy-like blended ends. Hard to explain, but it works. He blow dried and styled it and by the time I was done, I felt like a new woman. I felt confident and beautiful with my new ‘do.

I was very pleased! I have a feeling this is going to be an easy style to maintain. It lays perfectly without having to really do anything to it.

This experience was perfection. Although i initially thought their haircut prices were a bit steep, I can safely say that now having experienced the process and the service I received, I felt this was definitely worth it! Money well spent!

There is absolutely NO rushing you out the door or overbooking. The stylists at Cali hair studio are masters of thier trade & true artist.

The receptionist was able to accomadate us last minute & without the lengthywait. Kiki did an amazing job on my daughter's hair. She really listened to what Jaide wanted & gave us her own recommendations for achieving this cut with Jaide's hair type in mind. Kiki even went the extra mile to give me some easy styling tips to maintain this style.

My daughters very reserved, quite & shy. She's often afraid to stand out in any way. However today she's enthusiastic, egar & excited to show off the "New Jaide"....thanks to Cali Hair! That appointment with Kiki has given my girl so much more then just a new haircut. She's given Jaide back that confidence (she's been lacking), lifting up her self esteem and building her courage (for the 1st time ever) to face the unknown. That is priceless!!!

From start to finish this has been the absolute best experience. You can tell from the moment you walk in the door that this is a group of well trained professionals who enjoy thier work & geniunelly care for thier clients & new 1st...
