Margarita Grill — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We love this place. The staff is wondering, personable, and caters. My sister came into town and we decided to go to Margarita grill since this is our favorite place to eat. We both tried the special this time, intrigued by the chef's creativity infused with the freshest ingredients, however the menu itself is lip smacking. They have food specials running daily through the week and a great happy hour with $2 drinks and beers. On the menu, it is a toss-up between the Nachos (best in town so bring your appetite), Baja Shrimp Tacos (make it a meal, who doesn't love rice and beans), Beef burrito, (size of a small baby). The Taco menu is delicious ranging from fowl, beef, and fish tacos and if you dont like tacos (said no-one) there are burgers and chicken sandwiches with homemade french fries. For lighter fares and appetizers, they have the Kickin Shrimp Salad, Blackened tuna BLT Salad/ wrap, and even homemade lumpia. YUM! The menu is designed to cater to all types of appetites. I had my bridal shower here and they were able to cater to my large party and make the place beautiful. I recently visited Margarita Grill, and Jackie, the bartender, made the experience absolutely incredible! From the moment I sat down, her warm and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome. Jackie is not only extremely skilled at her craft, but she also has a great ability to read the vibe of her guests, creating the perfect balance of conversation and service.

Her margaritas are out of this world — she clearly knows her way around a cocktail shaker! Jackie recommended a custom drink based on my preferences, and it was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Her attention to detail and commitment to quality really stood out.

I really wanted ro like this little "family owned" place...But it just can't happen. Just not very good. Except for the Bajito (corrected name) my son had. He thought it was pretty good. Beans and rice just awful tasting. Shredded taco lettuce doesn't make for a good salad at all. Messed up my daughter's order of hard taco. Got soft taco instead. Tasted right out of an old grocery bag, and totally cold. It could have been placed on a grill or flat top for some heat and maybe butter Truly dead tasting. Music was good at first, but got to be too much island music far too loud. Just can't in good conscience recommend this place for food. The bar looked well stocked. Maybe that is a good place to start....
