I dont normally give out 5 stars nor do i write good reviews because very few people and the business' they work at have integrity and are non judgemental. Yesterday I made a huge mistake by trying to fix a semi expensive watch by myself because i was selling it and had to ship it out in 2 hours. So long story short i smashed the crystal face of it and didnt know what to do. My girkfriend called the closest jeweler to where we live and told them what i had done to her watch. I believe the owners son took the call and told us to come in. When i went there i didnt feel like i was judged because im in my forties but i cant let go of my highschool dickies and black hoodies. The owners son greated me when i came in and was prepared to look at the watch. I had told him this was an extremely time sensitive matter and to my surprise he was on it. In less than 20 minutes he had taken the watch apart measured everything and got the new crystal face on. I am extremely grateful for his care and concern for my situation and from the moment i walked in he didnt look at me like i was about to smash and grab the jewelry in the case. I have been visiting John's shop for many years. In the past, my visits were usually to have a watch battery replaced or to have a piece I already owned fixed (anything from getting a new jump ring on a necklace to getting a ring resized). Even though it was small work, John always took excellent care of me. Recently, I was in the market to design a couple of nice pieces for myself. I knew exactly where to go, having admired John's work for many years at that point. I came in with loose stones and John worked with me to create a classic pair of earrings and a unique and beautiful ring. He worked with me to make sure I was happy with the idea throughout the process. He even sent me a high quality image of exactly what the pieces would look like to get my final approval before moving forward to making it. AND in the end, he came in right on budget for the one of the pieces and under budget on the other. I couldn't be happier.

My experience:

I had an unusual request - I wanted to 3D Design my own matching engagement ring and wedding band. I had zero experience with designing jewelry, but John was patient and has the heart of a teacher. He guided me to use best practices for my design.

I almost gave up a couple times, but because of his encouragement in my dream to design my own special rings, I persisted and completed my design.

John then coordinated the casting of my special designs, and once the raw castings came in, he took his time to set the stones and polish up the rings. He did a gorgeous job, and I couldn't have been happier to have worked with him.
