I haven’t gone here in years because their hours are horrible and i plan pool days according to the weather. Finally we have 95+ weather week and they are closed all week. Pretty useless waterpark. Better off taking a cold shower instead.
The one time i went years ago it was hot where we live but at the wave it was cloudy and cold so it makes no sense to be open 2 days a week for only 5 hours or literally at 8 pm. Who the hell goes swimming at 8 pm? It’s freezing at that time.
I prefer to go swimming during the week when most people are at school or work and they are closed so when you go on the weekend you cant get parking or a chair. Great idea.
Update: 2024. Altho the flow rider was closed and no one said anything until after we got in… and one lifeguard was super rude for no reason when I was askin him questions, we had a decent time. But most of the credit goes to good weather. I’d still do a bunch of improvements here. There aren’t enough chairs and people just claim them with their towels and never even use them. So if you want to just sit and warm up there’s like 1 place to go. You can’t sit with your legs in the pool…. Maybe have certain color chairs that you cannot claim!? Like put a sign or something so people can use them for 15 min and go back to swimming. It’s ridiculous.
I wish there were lockers in other parts of the park because it’s a pain to go back and forth every time I needed something. I don’t trust leaving my stuff lying around since the park is so big. More seats and more lockers would make me happier. Food lines can be long. Arrive at 11 and you’ll get decent parking. The water slide lines are way too long for me. They have a decent selection of food. Cloudy days should be discounted and when parts are closed or under construction like the flow rider. My son was very bored when it was closed and I was frustrated there were no signs by the ticket booth and no one said anything.
Ground gets hot. They need to splash it more. I leave my shoes in the locker too far to get to the lazy river without burning my feet. Again if they had lockers by the lazy river it would be amazing.
The green tubes and blue tubes need to swap locations. Because people kept grabbing the green ones for the river. It makes no sense where you put them. We had to walk to the slide entrance to get blue tubes for the river and then walk back to the entrance since you’re only allowed to use stairs 🤦♀️.
Add seats and benches at the bottom of the slide because i had to stand there for 30 min for my kid to go on his slide and nowhere to sit since people CLAIM EVERY DAMN CHAIR WITH THEIR SHITTY TOWELS. like seriously!? MAYBE ADD HOOKS OR SOMETHING FOR THEM. chairs are not for your towels!! The only place that people didn’t manage to claim were 2 stone benches so maybe add more of those around.
At 11am the main line was to get in waiting for them to open, there was no wait at the ticket booth. This was in june.
Fix all that and I’ll give u 5 stars and get a season pass.
One more thing: i never understand why you close on labor day. It will be over 100 degrees this week and it stays hot well into October. Why can’t you stay open longer? We only went on weekends anyway. Tons of kids homeschool and would keep going there or at least go on weekends. We are in California not Alaska. Not a single other waterpark for miles and miles....
Read moreMy kids have attended 4 summer camps and they like them. For me as a parent, the summer camps are very affordable and allow the kids to spend some fun time exercising (as opposed to playing video games on the couch). I have been there once for their Duck Race day when they had a $5 entrance special. It was fun, small and I felt that my kids were safe and not wandering off (Since it is small, there is only so many places one can go!). Now, for the bad. Some of the people who go here are not the most "refined" people and kids can be "rough", also, if you leave things unattended they might "disappear". So keep a close eye on your belongings or better yet bring your old stuff so nobody wants to take it. The Snack area also sells their left over food at the end of the day for $1, so that is great for feeding your hungry kids at the end of the day. There is also free parking. Overall, its a great waterpark for locals. Small and very affordable. Also, I recommend signing up for their email newsletter, that is how I heard about the $5 entrance special and got some excellent discounts on summer camps. I also think this is a better park for kids who are good swimmers or a bit older as opposed to...
Read moreSmall, intimate environment that's has the vibe of a community pool but it offers so much more. The slides are exciting and you could see visitors of all shapes and sizes enjoying all four of them. The lazy river is not so lazy but you can easily procure an inflatable and enjoy the movement. The slide entrance is just another plus. The Wave at the center of the park adds a little bit of excitement that you don't get to experience everywhere. The fun and excitement of boogie boarding on a tsunami in the safe confines of my backyard. Fantastic! The Olympic sized swimming pool is clean and the abundance of Life Guards makes sure you feel safe at all times. The kiddie section is a great place for the kids to burn off a little extra energy and have some serious fun! The park has something for everyone and the prices are so reasonable that it doesn't feel like a burden on the wallet. Would highly recommend, especially...
