Over rated. Chip and Joanna try so hard to give business in Waco Texas as much exposure through the HGTV show. However some businesses are not friendly or thoughtful of their efforts. Going through Waco and decided to stop for the night. Had breakfast at Magnolia table Great start. Went to Harp Design Company. AWESOME staff and products. Went to Lavertys Antique CLOSED. People inside saw us pull in on our RV. We walked around outside, people saw us walking the place. And left. We have seen better items in garage sales from Grand City Michigan to South Padre Island Texas. Waste of your time and disappointed should you decide to stop at Laverty's. I like this place a lot. It's always exciting when they open. Lots of really unique, antique and oddities. I reserved the last star for 2 reasons. They are only open every 4-6 weeks for 3 days. Which means I can be crowded on those open days. The last few times I've been there has been a long line to check out. This space is TIGHT! Moving through the space is difficult.

I went through Laverty's due to seeing the shop on Fixer Upper. We had just gotten into town Saturday afternoon and rushed to the shop. I really didn't find anything I needed but that doesn't mean you won't. There is another level to the store and I found a table full of antique chandelier crystals, which I had to go through.
