Union — Local services in Waco

The Union does not have quality customer service. I put a work order in the first day I moved here for my sink to be fixed so that it would stop leaking... they came and turned the faucet in the off position really hard so that it was not leaking... I am not that strong, so of course as soon as I turned the water back on the problem resumed. I re put in a work order 3 times and still no one has come to fix the problem. The worst part, it’s not one sink, it’s 2!! Also, my hot water is not working and no one is answering the phone. So much for 24 hr maintanince. As for the heating and cooling system.. if my roommate and I turn on the heat, our appartment settles at a nice 84 degrees no matter what we set it to, and a solid 60 if we turn on the AC. These problems that are so minute have turned into a big deal because of the lack of care for the residents. If only they actually cared about their residents and fixed the problems it would be so much better living here. Also, whenever they do actually decide to answer the phone most of the workers are rather rude and degrading to the resident. This has been a problem for Union residents and Upoint residents. 10/10 would NOT recommend living here. Since I’ve been here the hot tub has NEVER worked. Our sink as leaked at least 3 times. Our oven stopped working and maintenance came in and replaced it and scratched up our floors. Anytime leasing agents or maintenance come to our apartment they NEVER knock. They just walk in. Which resulted in us having to continuously lock the dead bolt. Had an agent ask why we had our dead bolt locked. After she tried to just Waltz in our home. And then proceeds to catch an attitude about it being locked. If you put in a work order it will take days and several phone calls about why it hasn’t been done yet. We also have noisy upstairs neighbors. I’ve called the office more than 10 times about the problem. They say they’ve spoken with them but it continues to be a problem. I called backed and asked if I should just call the police. They stated that they would handle it and it has YET to be done. All in all it’s not worth the headache to live here. They don’t take care of their residents the way a apartment complex should. I seriously urge anyone who sees this to not give this place your hard earned money because they don’t deserve any of it. I've lived at Union for 3 years and have loved it! It is very quiet here and I always feel safe and secure with all of the electronic locks. Yes there's not many amenities here, but I probably wouldn't use them (pool, gym, tanning, etc) anyways. Main reasons I chose living here in the first place include: fully furnished, individual leases, and low pet fees. All the staff members I've met are extremely friendly, the manager Shelton often gives out high fives and fist bumps! Maintenance is really fast and they even replace your light bulbs :) There are random monthly events that usually include free food or taking out the trash. I've stuck around here for so long because I've been completely satisfied with my off-campus living experiences at Union. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants to live in a "no fluff" community, but still have a wonderful...
