Since my first review, things have greatly changed. An Aldi was built 3 miles from my house, I got familiar with the procedures and layout, and now Aldi is my second home. I am there at least once a week, often more. I take my shopping list to Aldi first, then get whatever I couldn't get from Aldi, at another store (which is almost next door to Aldi, so no inconvenience). I have started watching the ad in advance, and planning my meals around what Aldi has on sale. This has expanded our taste horizons and recipe library, and saved us a ton of money. Aldi is my happy place.
Previous review from 3 years ago ... First time at Aldi. Went there on a whim because it was near an appointment I had. It was a mixed bag for me. First impression (figuring out how to get a shopping cart out of the rack - had to watch someone else) was a little annoying. Layout of products didn't seem logical, so took longer than usual to find some items. I didn't realize that there would be virtually no name brands throughout the store. But if brand names are not important, then this is a good place to shop, as prices are definitely lower than other grocery stores. But there is no Aldi location that is close enough to where I live that I would shop...
Read moreMy favorite Aldi. It's always clean and well-stocked. Friendly cashiers and employees. Always has a great selection of produce and specialty items.( I'm used to the ghetto-ahem-I mean, minneapolis and more "urban" Aldi stores, such as the one on Franklin Ave or the original one, which was burned down during the BLM riots. Don't know if it was due to the high volume of shoppers, or lack of staff, but you had to get there right after opening to get the fresh stuff like fruit and veggies, or it'd be gone. At least they had security guards monitoringyou as you checked old off your list, sad.) Anyway, this aldi is great, glad we have one out here, it's the best one around....
Read moreWent with my mom to this place. Picked up some bread and she wanted to return two cans of beans, she was told that they throw them away and they don’t go back on the shelf. I was stunned cause she just bought them yesterday and it was the wrong bean. Nothing was wrong with the cans and when asked they said that that is their policy to toss anything that is being returned. They really should look at their policy and look into donating to the local community food bank. Instead of tossing good food away. I will not be going to this place again. I wish I could...
