Mocha Monkey — Restaurant in Waconia

The new store looks great! It will be an amazing addition to the already popular name "Mocha Monkey" in Waconia. This location has the same amenities as the original coffeehouse with the exception of Ice cream. I am told that it won't be long until that is also added. It features a enormous lobby when the bank is open with a dual sided fire place and two flat screen TV's's. When the bank is closed glass wall come out and you have a cozy coffee shop with penny-top tables and burlap ceilings. This location is also open even when the bank is closed to access it there is a separate parking lot behind the building, all you have to do is walk in. Throughout the lobby there are several areas for seating. The atmosphere is superb! Extremely cozy, and homey. This is a great location to meet with people and engage in thought provoking conversation. The drinks are extremely well done. This top-notch business will continue to operate The Olive st. location. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone as a hangout, gathering place, and a second home to those of us who prefer coffee shops to our living rooms. Great Job...

I’ve been coming to Moka Monkey regularly with my kids and there’s a lot to love: their new roasted coffee blend is absolutely wonderful—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—and my kids can’t get enough of the smoothies and the huge variety of fun flavors. The staff is friendly, the seating area is cozy, and it’s become our go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up and a treat for the little ones.

That said, I have to call out their restrooms. They’re consistently dirty—my kids literally refuse to use them—so it’s become a real headache when nature calls. I wish they would pay more attention to keeping that area clean and stocked.

Overall, great drinks and kid-friendly menu, but the restroom situation is so poor that it really drags down the experience. I’d happily give the rest of the cafe five stars, but the restrooms...

I absolutely LOVE this place, their coffee taste amazing and the barista(s) are super friendly. The reason why I didn't do full five stars is due to their speed. Sadly if you are in a hurry this is NOT the drive thru you want to be in. Even when it seems they have several staff working they just absolutely struggle getting drinks out in a timely fashion. I've learned that if I want coffe from here I need to leave an extra 20 minutes in my schedule for those days they are busy because it will literally take that long for 4 cars to get through the...
