This shop was one of the top highlights of my trip to Vermont. The wonderful owner, Gaelic gave us so much information about the European ornaments they stock, and the ornaments she paints herself (we bought a fabulous Vermont Moose!). But talking with her about the Mad River Valley, from the history of the towns to recommendations of places to eat and shop, and just about life in the area in general…was an absolute treasure. She’s one of those people you’ll never forget, and the shop is just as magical as she is. I learned so much about the Mad River Valley from her, and we took her recommendations to heart and visited as many of the places as we could in our short stay there. The Christmas ornaments are varied and plentiful, but the stuffed animal selection is absolutely insane! Any creature you can think of, they have! And the prices are unbelievable. We got a hedgehog that in my area, would cost well above $20, for only $7, and they’re excellent quality. I imagine local parents shop here a lot during the holidays. :) I cannot recommend this...

Me and a group of my friends were in Waitsfield and just had to check this shop out. We weren’t really sure what to expect but truthfully this store was wonderful! It truly is filled with everything bright and beautiful! The wonderful ladies who work there were so sweet, thoughtful, kind, friendly and helpful. They have an absolutely wonderful selection of high quality stuffed animals, ornaments, and garden decor. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to and connecting with the people who work here and meeting their sweet cat! I cannot highly recommend this store enough. A must stop...

Gaelic and Bonnie Tigue are the most amazing twin owners of this delightful gift shop full of Christmas cheer, every type of stuffed animal known to humanity, awesome puzzles, Xmas ornaments (many hand-painted by Gaelic), and custom pet portraits ( also by Gaelic). These women have incredible knowledge of local history and are happy to share.
