Last visited in the fall on a beautiful day. The shop is located right on the river with a beautiful shaded pergola seating area. The donuts are unlike any I have had in the past and are just really satisfying. I really like the brioche donuts, especially the ones that are filled. You can take your coffee and donut outside under the pergola, find a bench along the water, walk over the covered bridge, or walk down to the sandbar on the water. Makes a really nice Saturday destination date and worth the drive from Burlington! Give this place a try, you will be back!

When you find a place like Twisted Halo, look no further. A must stop for their caffeinated cup of perfection and out of this world donuts that make even a bread hater swoon. The owners are beyond wonderful, quirky and kind. Beautiful covered bridge views by a river and great local business community. Not only is their product top notch but the community of regulars and owners make this business so special. You feel so much love here. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in the entire world.

I am pleased there is another bakery in Waitsfield ! Warm and inviting place with plenty of seating at front and in another colorful room in back. Love the abundance of plants. These are heaven. Like butter clouds and not to sweet. Just perfect. I got a delicious breakfast sandwich and maple latte. The server was great and a low key comedian. The vibe here really has a positive effect on me. Great views from windows. They made a solid customer of my colleagues and me.

The only reason this place even gets a second star is because the guy making the coffee is a beast. Turning it out and doing it quickly. Where to start. First there is a dog walking around inside the store, wasn't a huge deal to me...until I saw it walk In the back where they were making the food. How does the health department allow that? My daughter and I waited over half an hour for an açaí bowl and avocado toast. They weren't back up mind you, everyone that came in for that half hour after us got their food pretty quickly. After 15 minutes I reminded them that I was there and gave them the benefit of the doubt, I know on occasion orders get misplaced or lost. We waited another 20 minutes before our order was made. At no point was I apologized to or even acknowledged for that matter. By the time we got our food the coffees that we were bringing back to the rest of the family were cold. I can excuse a lot of stuff but how do you not acknowledge or apologize for...

I’m a bit of a coffee snob so I was interested in finding a good cup while up at Sugarbush. They use excellent beans from both Ozo out in CO as well as OKUS locally here in Vermont. I’d rank my cup as a top 5 in New England (others being: Tandem, Broadsheet, Gracenote, Eighty Eight Coffee).

The owner is great. Super nice and knowledgeable.

And you absolutely can’t not get a homemade donut while here. Easily a 10/10!

I’ll be here every single time I make a trip to Sugarbush in the future and will likely go out of my even if I’m not in...
