Used to be my favorite. Until they get their act together, I won't be back. Check the most recent reviews. Only 4 guys working (if you can call it that) on a Saturday. No one motivated because they're overworked and unappreciated. Well over an hour per truck. Only 4 trucks outside when I showed up and one pulled out of the bay in front of me shortly after I arrived. It took right at 3 hours just to get into the bay. I could have gone through Blue Beacon 3 or 4 times in the time it took me here. The Moons are going to lose this business if they don't come down out of their fancy corporate office and see what's happening. Might as well put a "Closed" sign up. I'll be happy to edit my review later if things change, but for now, turn left and go to the Blue Beacon and minimize your down time and frustration.
Same day update: I got a call from Iowa 80 before I was 5 miles into Illinois. He genuinely apologized saying Iowa 80 is 70 people short on their staff. Despite raising wages and making extra efforts using multiple resources, they are having a very difficult time staffing. Because the actual service hasn't changed, my rating remains for now, but huge kudos for the quick response and honesty. (Doesn't hurt that they're comping my next wash) I'll edit my score when their service level improves.
Update 5 months later: 01/28/22 Still not staffed up. 2 bays with 2 guys each. 6 call-offs. My company has an account, but Truckomat's system isn't up to date with my company's system. It wouldn't take my tractor or trailer number as if they weren't eligible for a wash. The tractor hasn't been washed at all this month (2 allowed) and I called our office earlier to verify the trailer was open for a wash. Not an isolated incident as other of our drivers have had similar experiences at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately my experience wasn't great. After leaving the facility; roughly about 3-4 hundred miles I discovered that my cb antenna on the passenger side was completely missing. I had one on each side going in, and only 1 afterwards. And how do you prove that they broke it off. Its not like i took picture's before I entered and picture's afterwards. Unfortunately my mirror has the antenna wiring within and its part of it; replacing the assembly means replacing the entire Mirror. 3 hundred dollars later (plus the actual truck wash).... A real bummer. My advice is to go to the blue beacon across the street or take pictures before you enter this facility to avoid this unfortunate mishap. Sorry TRUCKOMAT, but i can not prove your machine actually broke my antenna nor was your staff up front about it. But if i was a betting man and your facility had cameras. You would see it happened..
