My brother-in-law was married last Saturday (11/02/2019). I was playing a supporting role, running any last minute errands.
There was an issue with the jewelry for the bridal party. All of the earring backs did not fit, and one of the bridesmaids had broken a pair of earrings, while trying to get the back on the earring.
I was asked to try to repair the broken earrings, and get backs for 12 earrings, the morning of the wedding. I picked up the stuff from the bridal party, and went to this unassuming jewelry store. The proprietor was both friendly, and enormously helpful. He provided earring backs, and repaired the damaged earrings, on the spot.
When I asked him what the charge was, he said "no charge, weddings are stressful enough". He was definitely in a position to charge an expedited rate, for last minute servicing, but was genuinely human and helpful instead. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs help.
I wasn't sure what to pay him, but didn't feel his deed should go without remuneration. Because I wasn't sure what to pay him, I pulled some apple butter from the car (which were the wedding favors) and gave him a jar.
A refreshing retail experience! Highly...
Read more(I’ve attached before and after photos). I’ve had my class ring for 11 years now and it was a gift given by a family member who has passed now. So this meant a great deal to me. The antiquing on my ring was worn very badly, it was out of round, and in general needed some love and care to be brought back to life. I was scared of wearing it at this point.
When I tried to go to the original maker of my class ring. I was told it would have to be remade. Costing a lot of money. Obviously not wanting to do that it remained in a safe untouched for years.
Until recently when I made a post on Facebook of all places. Someone reached out. Someone from Old Towne
Old towne knew how much this meant to me and seriously brought me to tears seeing it new again. They even resized it an entire size UP. My ring didn’t have to be remade. And it also didn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Thanks Old Towne, and thank you Angel for reaching out to me and assuring me it would be taken care of. I can’t...
Read moreMy partner proposed with a ring from the UK as he is British and living in Europe. Unfortunately, the diamond was loose soon after the proposal. I didn’t want to send it back to the UK to have it repaired under warranty as I didn’t want to be away from it so long. I went to Olde Towne Jewelers to ask about repairs. They took it back and fixed it within a few minutes and would accept any payments, just asked to remember them. Such a lovely place, and now I can wear my ring again with confidence I won’t lose the diamond and I didn’t even have to part with it for any amount of time. Lovely...
