Miss Dottie's — Local services in Warner Robins

This store is honestly one of the worst stores I have ever been to. The staff is never friendly and will look directly at you when you walk in and say absolutely nothing. They put forth an air of being better than their customers which is utterly ridiculous when the goal is to make money. I can see why many people have written reviews about feeling discriminated against. I have to say that I am the same race as many of the employees and they treat me the same way as the other descriptions. I quit shopping at Miss Dottie's a couple of years ago because of the reason just stated. However, I had to attend a last minute function and needed to purchase a new sweater. I reluctantly purchased one from the store since I was close by and needed one quickly. I then received complaints all night that it had a funny smell. It started to smell very synthetic and downright awful as the night progressed (how embarrassing). I tried to hand wash it with a light detergent to see if that would rid the sweater of the smell. It did not so I went to the store to return it and receive a store credit. I explained the issue with the manager and she stated she would not be able to make a decision.....she would have to to consult the owner and she was not there. Apparently, the owner does not allow her managers to actually manage. It took TWO weeks for a decision to be made. I was told I would receive a call the day I returned the sweater as to the decision of the owner. No one EVER called me over the span of two weeks. I had to CONTINUOUSLY call and inquire as to why I had not heard anything. They continued to inform me that the owner was not available. This lack of customer service is UNACCEPTABLE. At the end of the two week period, I finally received a message from the original manager stating the owner would not accept the return and provided no reason whatsoever. Greedy people like the owner of this store will soon learn that doing the right thing pays off a great deal in the long run. Cheating others will always come back ten fold through karma. Do not shop here!! There are other boutiques in the Warner Robins area which will treat their customers with respect and sell...

To be fair the store is very nice. They carry the higher end clothes, gifts, etc that we occasionally shop for. The staff has always been pleasant but I just had a customer service issue that was kind of disheartening. Miss Dotties offers a $3 key chain with dollar amounts to be punched out that gives you $25 off of your next purchase when all amounts have been punched. We (my wife and I) had two separate cards that if combined would have equaled more than enough to fill up a card and they would not accept it. I was specifically told during Christmas time that my wife could combine the punches and to not lose that card. The cashier and I had a jovial conversation about it even. Well today they denied her that option with ZERO sympathy. My wife isnt one for confrontation so I called the store and spoke with the manager on duty and she proceeded to tell me in, again, a very patronizing, matter-of-fact voice, that thats just the way it is and that she was even saving me the $3 extra for the card. It makes no sense to have a policy like this unless the goal is to hope one of the keychains gets lost.(which i am sure happens all the time) I would never write a review like this but the tone was unacceptable and the fact that i was specifically told otherwise to the "policy" made me feel...

ABSURD … I entered Miss Dottie’s for a gift to my Goddaughter. I had visited a few times before and felt uncomfortable as if I didn’t belong and was constantly being watched/followed without being offered assistance. I was told by some acquaintances to give them another chance, so I did! The clerk asked for my name, in which I don’t give any personal information to anyone. I feel it’s totally unnecessary to buy an item and you collect my personal data! Anyway, after showing my military ID card, paying for my purchase and receiving a printed receipt; I was told I couldn’t return any item because I didn’t give them my name! I told the clerk I have a printed receipt and if my goddaughter didn’t like the items could she return? All three employees stated she could NOT return because I didn’t give them my name! Never have I felt so harassed and humiliated as this place has treated me! I will NEVER step foot in this...
