Regrettably, after enjoying several months of consistent visits to El Jalisciense Mexican Restaurant, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. I have frequented this establishment once a week for the past 3 to 4 months, consistently enjoying the quality of the food and the attentive, respectful service provided by the servers.
During my most recent visit, I decided to try the Lunch Fajitas for the first time, which I found to be very enjoyable. However, upon receiving the bill, I noticed an additional $5 charge for the dinner portion, despite explicitly ordering the lunch size. I immediately brought this discrepancy to the attention of the staff when settling my bill.
Following my inquiry, a young lady at the desk kindly relayed the issue to the manager/owner. However, instead of addressing the situation with understanding and professionalism, the manager/owner emerged from the back of the restaurant and promptly shifted blame onto me. He asserted that the lunch fajitas are smaller in portion size, hence the lower price. Despite my clarification that I deliberately ordered the lunch size to avoid the higher dinner charge, he persisted in attributing the error to me.
In attempting to rectify the situation, I maintained a respectful demeanor, expressing my disappointment in the mistake and emphasizing my preference for the lunch portion due to the time of day. However, the manager/owner continued to lay blame on me for not notifying the server of the incorrect order, despite my lack of familiarity with their portion sizes and plating conventions.
This encounter left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. As someone who has consistently enjoyed my experiences at El Jalisciense, I find it disheartening to encounter such a lack of accountability and customer service.

Read moreI have been a loyal customer to this establishment for years. My family and I order out once a week, sometimes every other week. However, that ends today! My family and I ate there today after church today and the manager was rude. My daughter had a shrimp and rice kids meal. She ate 5/6 shrimp before she noticed a string of hair in her food. We didn’t notice from the beginning because after she received her plate, I cut her shrimp in halves and mixed her rice and shrimp together. I made our waiter aware of the situation when my daughter made me aware of it. The waiter took her plate to the back, and came back and said they are working on remaking her order. 5 minutes later, the manger who states he is the owner as well comes out and says that I heard you had hair in your food. I said that is correct, and he said, “ I don’t believe you because we don’t have any women in our kitchen”. No apology or anything. The hair did not match my daughter nor my hair texture. Read moreUnfortunately one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. The management and staff are rude and if you have a problem with your food they are reluctant to resolve the problem. I order several “House Specials” with chicken and steak. When placing the order over the phone I specified several times I would like the steak medium. After receiving the order I discovered the steak to be well done, the mushroom and onions were burnt to a crisp, and had no queso in it. I called the restaurant back to inform them about my food not being cooked to my liking and the conversation with the manager was indescribably horrible. I explained the situation and was told “nothing was wrong with the food” and the manager supposedly checked the entire order before pick up. I offered to bring the food back to have my order remade and the manager said “no we’re too busy.” I also asked the manager for his name for whenever I do return and he said “why are you going to interview me?” I have never been spoken to like this by a manager at a restaurant.
