When I started my shopping experience, I knew the exact car I wanted, just was a matter of finding it. Prime Motorz had it and I reached out. From the start Gordon, the sales manager, was professional, transparent and kind. He respected and appreciated the fact that I would be traveling from Pittsburgh to Detroit to buy a car that I haven't seen; a lot of trust was on both sides of the transaction. There were a few issues with the car that he was upfront and told me about, including a scratch and dent on the drivers side fender, which he took care of the best he could. He disclosed that it needed a new windshield, which he took care of (mostly, explanation later) and also the condition of the wheels, one of which contained a very bad curb mark. He assured me that the wheel was in perfect operable condition and I took him on his word.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by my A4 and Gordon's smiling face; his charisma is off the charts! He went over the car, showed me the issues that we discussed and sent me off on a test drive. I drove it around a few city blocks and was happy with my decision. Paperwork was a breeze and he even helped me a little bit on the price due to the wheel being pretty badly curbed, needing replacement or serious repair. I noticed that the Audi Presence system was showing an error due to the windshield replacement and not having calibration. I explained my concern and Gordon assured me that if I took it to my local dealership, he would take care of it. I signed and started my drive home!
After calming down from such an exciting experience, I noticed a minor hum coming from the cabin and I suspected a wheel bearing, which isn't uncommon for the B8-B9 A4's. I was taking to the dealership anyways to have calibration done so I figured I would have them look at the wheel bearing to make sure it was good to go. Long story short, it wasn't. The dealer stated that the wheel had sustained an obvious impact. It bent the wheel and required the ball joint and wheel bearing to be replaced. Along with calibration the repair quote was $3,200. I called and spoke with Gordon and he told me that that was too much to cover and that we would have to figure out another way to fix the problem. I got a better price on labor and was able to get me down to $1,200 with parts and labor. This did not include a wheel or calibration for my Presense system that was supposed to be taken care of.
I called and spoke with Gordon again and he told me that this was still too high and offered to buy the car back at full price. This was something I did not want to do as I fell in love with the car and spent vast amounts of time and money in this entire experience. I asked Gordon if he would just take care of the service bill and I would worry about the wheel and presence calibration on my own dime. He related that he could give me $750 towards it or he would have to buy the vehicle back. Shant called me back and we had a very good discussion about the situation and he was able to empathize with my situation in the fact that I bought a car with certain promises that were not fulfilled. He offered to cut me a check for $1,000 to help with the service and I received it less than a day later, which was great.
Overall, I had a good experience at Prime Motorz and I would never steer someone away. Shant and Gordon did everything they could to make me a happy customer even after a few headaches. I would certainly recommend anyone to them without a doubt. Their customer service is truly exceptional; above and beyond what I expected and I thank them wholeheartedly for the positive experience. I've encountered salesmen who were only concern about making a sale and did not have the customer's need or want in mind. On June 19th I was sitting at my desk at work. Surfing dealerships in Atlanta trying to find that perfect truck. And I located a dealership in Atlanta, however my fork truck driver sitting at my desk informed me that Atlanta is 12 hours from where we live. And I should consider checking Michigan because it was closer. So after our debate on Atlanta vs Michigan, I decided to check it out. Going onto Truecar.com for Michigan, Prime Motorz was the 1st dealership that popped up. And on their page was listed a Range Rover. I called my fork truck driver to my desk and checked out the listing. I submitted my name and work phone, shortly thereafter Gordon Jones called. And he was very polite and professional, I mentioned to him I was inquiring about the Range Rover. What I like about Gordon, he took time to answer all of my questions. And knowing my interest in wanting this vehicle, he emailed me the information to take to my credit union. Once the loan was approved I immediately called Gordon. He informed me the truck could be shipped to me. However we ran into a minor setback on trying to get a freight company to drive 2 hours south of their normal route. Gordon did something that was above and beyond, to assure of getting a trucker to drive 2 hours past their normal route, he went into his pocket and gave money towards the shipping. Now that speaks volume of him going above and beyond to get the vehicle to me. Through the process of my inquiring about the vehicle until the truck made it to my residence, Gordon treated me with respect, and he was honest through this process. He treated me like a friend and he was willing to make sure I was taken care of. And because of that I've told family, friends and co-workers about Gordon. And I highly recommend they should speak with him about purchasing a car. Several yrs ago I had a bad experience with a salesman. My son has been an ER Nurse in Cleveland for the past 9 months. It is his first nursing job after graduating in May 2019. He has driven the same car since he was 16 with over 160,000 miles on it. He wanted to purchase a new car that was something special. He and I looked for over a month for the right car as well as the right dealer. We found, on TrueCar, a 2017 Jaguar F-Type. It was a new listing located at PRIME MOTORZ in Warren Mich. The car had a great price with low mileage. I contacted Shaun, the owner at PRIME MOTORZ, explained to him that my son was very interested in the car but was working 12hr shifts dealing with COVID-19 in Cleveland and could not get to the dealership until the following week. Shaun expressed his gratitude for what my son was involved in and allowed us to put down a deposit to hold the vehicle until we had a chance to see and drive it. Shaun told us that Gordon, one of his salesmen, would contact us later that day and would work with us. Gordon called that day, I explained that this would be my son's first care purchase. Gordon was fantastic, he answered all the questions we had, supplied all the information including the CarFax reports on the car, and waited for us to secure pre-approved financing. Gordon did not pressure us to purchase in any way. He turned down a number of inquiries about the car while waiting as promised for us to make the trip to Warren on my son's first off day. When we arrived, we were greeted by Gordon who was with another customer. He gave us the keys to the Jag and told us to take the car for a drive while he finished with his customer. We drove the car came back to the dealer and went through the Jag's history and options with Gordon. We decided to purchase the Jag, completed all the paperwork which Gordon had prepared for us prior to our arrival and drove the Jag back home to Ohio that evening. The condition of the Jag was pristine. My son loves the car and is thrilled with the car’s performance! It is everything he hoped it would be and more.
