When the time came to look for engagement rings, there was no doubt I would be choosing Baxter's. My entire family has frequented this business for years and swears by them, so I knew I would be in great hands. Though a high-bar was already in place, this experience has far surpassed my expectations. They have allowed me to customize my girlfriend's dream engagement ring, with a reasonable price point within a very flexible timeframe. Baxter's has proven itself to be a genuine, caring, and world-class company.

To say their customer service is outstanding is an understatement. I would specifically like to thank Janina. I walked into this facility with a relatively mundane knowledge foundation about engagement rings and needed guidance. What I expected was someone ready to make a sale, but what I received was someone who genuinely just wanted to educate me about the 4c's of diamonds and how to I could make my girlfriend's dream ring a reality. She did not care about making a sale; she wanted to help me find the perfect ring. She was truthful in her explanations, compassionate, and responsive to my initial skepticism about a customized ring, and helped me design the absolute perfect engagement ring. I am an inquisitive and indecisive person by nature, but Janina did not care. She was incredibly patient with me, and thoughtfully answered all my questions. After deciding to make the ring, Janina has been with me every step of the way. She has been my quarterback and made me feel at ease during one of the most amazing and nerve-wracking times in my life. She is the Tom Brady of customer service.

I would also like to call attention to the meticulous process of customizing an engagement ring at Baxter's. Their unique process is something that should ease anyone's initial qualms about designing an engagement ring. After deciding on an initial design, they will first develop prints of their initial design. During this time, you will have opportunities to make further changes to your design. Then, they make a wax ring using state-of-the-art 3-D printing that you can see. It is a tangible expression of your design. After the wax step, the final step is the actual construction of your ring. I am a visual person by nature, and this process is by far the most effective way for a person to make their engagement ring a reality.

My decision to use Baxter's has proved to be one of the best. I am forever grateful I was able to lean on Janina to assist me in this journey. In addition to Janina, there are plenty of other great staff support members just as great. They are a one-of-a-kind family business that should be the benchmark for jewelry stores everywhere. We specifically sought Baxter’s out for their experience with creating custom jewelry and their commitment to customer satisfaction; it’s a core part of their marketing and we’ve heard the reviews. However, this story ends with Baxter’s craftsmanship causing a diamond to go missing and them doing little to anything to compensate.

After my father’s passing in the spring, my mom and I went to Baxter’s in hopes of creating a custom ring out of her wedding band and engagement ring. It’d be a tribute to their marriage she could wear and remember him. Their customer service was top-notch, and they made my mom feel so special. The ring was absolutely beautiful and everything she could have hoped for. The price point of around $5,000 was high, especially considering that all of the diamonds were ours to begin with, but we moved forward with the design knowing that this would be a lifetime piece and ultimately a piece that stayed in the family.

My mom picked the ring up on a Friday evening after work. On the following Sunday morning, less than 48 hours of having the ring, she saw a diamond missing: it just fell out! When we brought the ring to Baxter’s the team apologized and replaced the missing diamond at no cost. However, they acted as if this was no big deal and simply a fluke. When we asked about financial compensation, they basically laughed at us and said they didn’t see how that was necessary. We explained that their poor craftsmanship caused a diamond that my late father gave to my mother to fall out and go missing; both the financial and emotional value of that seems so obvious to us. Finally, the owner offered a $100 Baxter’s gift card, a further insult to what was already a less than ideal situation. We explained that a $100 gift card puts just a small dent in cost of any item they sell, is just putting that money back in their register, and that my mother wasn’t in a financial position to buy any more jewelry given that she just spent $5,000 with them.

Now, she wears the ring in fear of another stone falling out at any time, especially considering that Baxter’s provided no real explanation as to how it happened. They’ve assured us that they checked it and ran it through a number of tests to ensure it is safe, but that was also done when they created it? We paid thousands of dollars solely for their craftsmanship, which ultimately caused a diamond to fall out of a ring after just 2 days...

Forget the national chains! THIS is where the magic happens in which Dreams are turned into Reality! They are EXACTLY how they promote themselves in regards to customer service and PROFESSIONAL custom craftsmanship. I brought a white gold diamond encrusted men's ring in to have it repurposed in order to contain my beloved dog's ashes inside it. I went there open minded because I wasn't even sure this was a possibility. As it so happened, once the Craftsman, Sarkis, came out and saw it, his eyes lit up with excitement and we explored a few different possibilities together. He presented the options that, given his expertise, were possible. Right there at the counter, we bounced ideas off each other and designed this custom project together within a short time. He was able to carve out 2 vessels on opposite sides of the ring to hold the ashes and then encapsulate them with a rose gold which added much more significant character to the ring and it's newfound eternal purpose. Add to that the engraving of my beloved's name in a beautiful font along with a heart on the inside of the ring. The end result was SPECTACULAR and very worthy of the immediate emotional attachment I had originally hoped for when I first set out to accomplish this idea. With absolute sincerity and to offer peace of mind of such an emotionally bound project, Sarkis, went ABOVE AND BEYOND by capturing the placement of the ashes inside the vessels on video. That was followed up with video of the encapsulating of the ashes via laser welding. The extra initiative taken to assure me, the customer, that this particular job was performed with so much care, respect and dignity was mind-blowing. The price was EXTREMELY reasonable. It was well worth the investment for a heirloom that I plan to wear for the rest of my life and beyond. The ring on my finger is a testament to what Baxter's accomplished whereas other jewelers said it wasn't even possible. I would like to note that while there, I noticed that all of the salespeople there were all very accommodating yet not "pushy". It was evident that they were all very personable and focused on sincere personal interaction with each customer to provide a very comfortable shopping experience.
