Fayette County Fairgrounds — Local services in Washington Court House

My experience: The monster truck challenge on June 10th 2023 at 7p.m. was very expensive, especially given how poorly it went. We spent over $350 only to have 3/4 of the trucks fail mechanically at the beginning of the show! I was very excited as this was my wife and son's first Monster truck show only to be let down by the lack of monster truck action. No refunds were offered, only a verbal promise of discounted future event tickets. Why would I buy more if it went so poorly this time? It was beyond frustrating. My wife and son had never been to a monster truck show and I am ashamed this experience was their first... I understand trucks break. I respect the drivers and their crews for the work they put in. But come on... This show started sketchy and just ended up failing entirely. A few trucks tried to run crippled, but could only do so much. Given the terrible economy in 2023, the money we spent here could have been better spent as it was quite alot for such a disappointing show. I just feel so...letdown.

Positives: -The trucks were cool when they did function. -The 4 year old and 7 year old kids driving tiny monster trucks were funny and pretty impressive. -The drivers were friendly and very open to talking about the trucks and their builds. -The monster truck rides were really fun! No age restrictions, but very short. Over 2 rides we spent $75 for maybe 3 minutes of riding. Still, very fun! -The trucks DID try to run even though they were broken in an attempt to save the show. I respect the effort...

These are very nice fairgrounds. Fine facilities for everything from wedding reception to a swine show. The buildings are kept up very nicely and there is plenty of parking and restrooms for every event. While I have not attended the fair itself, I can say that the grounds are perfect for that event and they appear to have plenty of barn and commercial space available. I cannot speak about the cost of the rent, but considering the quality of the facilities, I would not hesitate to rent these grounds for your event should it need this type...

The cost was way too much for what they had, 3 of the main rides were closed down but they still charged the same price, Fayette county use to have one Price to get in and it covered rides this year it changed. The food was horrible and prices were sky high. I know it affected a lot of people that were already hurting this year, I would like to see a transcript from the meeting discussing 2022 fair.
