We walked in and were greeted not by atmosphere, but by an odd artificial scent—the kind of “scented thing” you’d expect in a waiting room, not a cocktail bar.

The seating was almost comical. The high chairs were so tall and wobbly that getting on felt like a balancing act, and once you were up, you didn’t want to risk getting down again.

The décor didn’t help. Behind the bar, the bottles felt more like random props than a curated collection. One station had two Don Julios and a Grand Marnier, another showed off Veuve Clicquot, and elsewhere Dom Pérignon bottles sat next to a penguin shaker. The whiskey display featured Johnny Walker Black—about the most predictable pick imaginable. The only display that actually impressed was the vermouth lineup, neatly organized with five different kinds.

To the bar’s credit, the cocktails were excellent—balanced, well-made, and served in quality glassware with good water service. Unfortunately, the final bill soured the experience: a mandatory 20% service charge brought two drinks to $46.

What’s also worth noting: at the time of writing, the place somehow has 36 glowing five-star reviews, all paired with staged photos that feel more like friends hyping up the owners than genuine customers. My experience didn’t match that picture.

In the end: great cocktails, dreadful décor, uncomfortable seating, and automatic charges that left a bad taste. Three stars...

Martin’s personality brought such warmth and fun to the atmosphere—he really made the night feel personal and lively. Imani, the manager, showed the utmost professionalism while also being kind and approachable, making sure everything ran smoothly while checking in with guests in such a genuine way. And Joe at the door set the tone right away with his courteous and welcoming presence. This team made the whole experience five stars across the board.
