Framebridge — Local services in Washington

I (and my mother) recently went to Framebridge at Union Market for a consultation of two 15+ year old painting set my mom loves. The frame broke around one and needed replacing which called for the other to require the same. The staff here was outstanding but especially B —customer service was on point, she immediately greeted us as we walked through the door and asked what we needed help with. We showed her the set, told her what we were thinking and she gave us advice/recommendations based off our wishes and what the store was capable of. Her knowledge of all —what colors went best with the set, which variety of frame could bring out the art “make it pop”, etc. was astounding. Ultimately, the choice was ours and I couldn’t be happier with it. B made sure the preview part on the iPad was user-friendly for my mom, making it easy for her to find the perfect frame. My mom received her order prompt and it arrived in excellent condition, exactly as shown in the preview. My mom is thrilled with the quality and we will definitely make Framebridge at Union Market, or better yet, wherever B is managing our #1 pick for framing in the future. Highly...

Pretty disappointed with my experience here. I brought in a special painting that was gifted to me by my mom. Upon arriving at the store to pickup the piece, I was shocked to see that within the shadow box frame, one corner of my art work was ragged and had a small piece hanging off of it (see photos). It had clearly been dropped or damaged on that corner, and the sales rep tried to tell me that the other corners looked similar—they absolutely did not. They said they would send it back and see what could be done, however, this is extremely unacceptable for a frame shop that should be handling all pieces with the utmost care and professionalism. Also, the mat was not clean and had visible dark lint on some spots, which you can see in the second photo.

The piece shouldn’t have been mishandled to begin with, but for the piece to then be carelessly framed without recognizing the damage first, is very disappointing. I will wait to update this review once I know what their solution is, but I’m definitely wary of recommending framebridge for anyone looking to frame...

I have had a fantastic experience at Framebridge at Union Market. I worked with Alicia on a large project converting about 15 pieces from their previous big-box craft store frames and DIY matting to all-Framebridge-everything. Alicia was great to work with and helped me make quick decisions and offer suggestions and input where needed. She was super patient with me despite the fact that I rolled up 45 minutes before closing with 15 pieces to frame (I’m sorry!). Framebridge was great about re-doing a piece where our wires had gotten crossed on whether I wanted the piece cut down, no questions asked.
