Elevate Fitness Coaching BEWARE OF THEIR CONTRACT, RUN AWAY!! This review is primarily about Elevate Fitness Coaching, the parasite living in this facility with the blessing of Fitness connection.

I started with Fitness Connection, Watauga in 2023 and at the beginning seemed needing some personal fitness training. “Elevate Fitness Coaching” works in this location and I was directed to a guy called Matthew. He signed me up on the personal training and I attended 2 or 3 sessions and found that his training was not much useful and then told the Fitness connection staff that I do not want to continue and cancel my personal training. I thought that the cancellation was done, but not….. After 1.5 years, in April 2025, I got a call from "Elevate Fitness Coaching" saying that I owe some money towards their personal training contract. Until then no talk, no call/ email about the contact or any amount that I owe. The caller said that I signed up for a 1-year contract. That is when I realize that the fitness training was offered by a 3rd party parasite called “Elevate Fitness Coaching”. I told them to cancel the personal training account. At the time of sign up I was never told about the 3rd party contract and I thought the personal training was offered by Fitness Connection. I did not get any paperwork. Absolutely no transparency and total non-communication. There is no way to contact this company from a client's side unless the big bosses of the company is gracious enough to share their email and may or may not contact you back!

Long story short, they sent me for collections for $1100 even after intimating them 2 times about my decision to cancel. The collection agency started bothering me for the last few months and I am trying to get out of collection attempts. Fitness connection washed their hands saying they cannot help, although they host this evil Elevate Fitness Coaching in their facility.

Beware of Elevate Fitness Coaching and their paperwork NEVER SIGN UP FOR A CONTRACT with them. These sharks will trap you with contract and later squeeze your money by extortion sending to collections.

This gym is a breeding ground for unprofessionalism, intimidation, and outright harassment. It’s not just poorly managed—it’s actively toxic. If you’re a paying member expecting respect, safety, or basic decency, prepare to be disappointed.

Pros:

• Equipment variety is decent • Location is convenient • A few decent staff—buried under a mountain of juvenile behavior

Cons:

• Harassment by Staff: Employees walk the floor out of uniform, blending in with members to avoid accountability while harassing gym-goers. This isn’t subtle. It’s targeted, deliberate, and repeated. Members are pointed at, mocked, and made to feel like intruders in a space they pay to use. Picture attached…

• Targeting & Intimidation: If you’re not part of the staff’s inner circle, you’re a target. They’ll single you out, glare, whisper, literally point you out and make it clear you’re unwelcome. It’s petty, juvenile, and completely unacceptable in any professional setting.

• Customer Service: Laughable. Staff are rude, dismissive, and confrontational. Ask a question, get attitude. Raise a concern, get ignored. The front desk acts like you’re interrupting their day by showing up. God forbid you stop them from holding the counter up.

• Management: Either complicit or asleep at the wheel. These issues aren’t isolated—they’re systemic. The fact that this behavior continues unchecked says management may not be aware.

• Cleanliness & Maintenance: Locker rooms are less than adequate; good luck not smelling the potency of urine and feces. Some Equipment is broken or out of order, but they appear to be permanent fixtures.

• Atmosphere: Hostile. You walk in and feel the tension. It’s not a gym—it’s a battleground of egos, gossip, and intimidation. The culture the employees provide here is rotten from the inside out.

Final Verdict: The employee’s behavior is a disgrace. It’s not just failing to meet basic standards—it’s actively driving away members through harassment and toxicity. If you value your time, your dignity, and your safety, stay far away. Kudos to the manager for handling it when it is brought to him, but may need to be more active in his employees. There are better gyms, better staff, and better environments where you won’t be treated like a threat for simply showing up.

This Gym was misrepresented to me at my first visit for possible membership. I asked the young man if there were provided classes for senior. Was advised there are. The gym has very nice facilities in the women’s gym. I decided to purchase a membership and also purchased one day per month with a personal trainer to assist me with using the equipment. Had shoulder surgery mid 2024. Not 100% healed yet, was advised ok to exercise but with moderation. First session with the trainer never happened(she became ill). That day I learned there are no classes designed specifically for seniors. I canceled the membership. But, the personal training company refused to cancel the agreement dived I have to pay 199.00 to cancel or continue paying 99.00 each month for services I will never use. I WAS COERCED INTO JOINING THE GYM AND DIRECTED TO SIGN UP WITH PERSONAL TRAINER THE GYM USES. I believe I was scammed by these people. I am 70 1/2 yrs old widow on a fixed income trying to maintain good health, strength and stability with exercise. I don’t have additional funds to join another gym with Silver Sneakers amenities due to charges on my bank account by Persian training folks. I have repeatedly asked, begged and demanded assistance. No one will listen to me. THEY JUST DON’t CARE!!! If we are fortunate, everyone grows old. I wish the young people working at the GYM were better trained to answer questions about membership, Personal training, and amenities for elders like me. I wish the business owners of this gym’s personal training affiliate were more compassionate and thoughtful regarding my situation.
