This will be a review for both the Store and the actual field and ill try to make this short while still covering everything.
The store itself is pretty good, they have a decent selection of Airsoft guns and also RC cars and parts as well. the people there are very nice, patient for those who take there time, and very helpful overall, the price for the airsoft guns there are a bit high but they are prices to expect at a local store. they also repair and upgrade airsoft guns but I have never personally left my gun with them so I cant give feed-back on that. BUUT this is the down side which isnt really much, only issue ive had with them was a purchased a gun that wasn't feeding right so i returned in the same day and instead of him returning my money he tried fixing it. which i understand, but i can imagine for someone who doesn't have the time or patients for something like this, they will be annoyed. they did fix the gun in a couple minutes so i took it back and left, but if you plan on buying a gun, please check to make sure it shoots.(i should not have to check a "new" gun to see if it shoots, that could be another bad thing)
Now for the Airsoft Field...
once you pass the starting area YOU-IN-ACTION, it may not sound like a good thing for others, for me personally i like it. and when your in a Firefight its the best feeling. They mix the game modes up, and in between each game there are brakes in case people get hungry or need to reload there weapons. you will notice that most of the field is empty because the action takes place on at the objective (i see that as a good thing. it forces people to focus on the mission) You will always meet new people and guarantee to make a new friend every time, and so far for the past few months that i have been going to this field there has never been a time were the field is empty or no players show up. the smallest ive seen is 70 people show. theirs always a good amount of people there to have a good game. BUUT this field has 2 BIG PROBLEMS. the refs....or should i say the lack of refs. only during big events will you see the owners playing with you, and even then it is only 2 or 3 of them on separate teams (in total, i dont mean 2 or 3 per team). and THIS is were the 2nd problem comes in which are Cheaters. i understand you cant stop a cheater and you will always find them. but a ref would easily fix or decrease the number of cheaters you get in the game. and this is what makes this a 3/5, and it will not just be one person cheating, it will be a group of them. And its hard to enjoy a game when a group of people are in God-Mode...beginning of the year it was perfect, but i feel like this is the season for cheaters to come out hiding.
best advice for anyone planning on going here, When you aim and shoot....do not try to be nice,NOT EVEN FOR A MOMENT, KEEP SHOOTING until you hear them call the hit, and aim for somewhere thats going to hurt like the arm. it seems to be the only way to make them...
Read moreThis place is still cool and worth going too. Jolly (the field manager) is absolutely awesome! First played here in 2009 and it was a 5 star field for over a decade. Recently it's kind of gone down hill due to things outside the control of the field management and owner. Losing about half the field when new neighboring land owners moved in and it was discovered that they owned a good chunk of where the airsoft field was and put a stop to a lot of the flanking maneuvers being done on that side of the field. The village is 10/10 a great spot and the people are awesome but it's just missing that little bit of extra space on the outskirts of the main areas that it lost in the last few years. Would recommend this place to new airsofters 10/10 but for the seasoned milsim airsofter this field had it's time in the sun and is not what it once was. Still make a trek down every so often to say hey to the old faces I just don't see myself regularly playing here again given what it's lost. Atmosphere 10/10, management 10/10 and the field itself as things are now 6/10 it's just not what...
Read moreWilling to change this if better service occurs, but email address and phone number don’t work making it hard to find out what the field fee is or learning any other information about the field.
Edit I have played multiple fields in multiple states, and this place is extremely apathetic and unprofessional. It’s seriously a miracle they’re still open.
They know their phone number and email they have listed online don’t work. They don’t respond to inquiries on their FB page. There’s literally no way to get in touch with them without driving 30-40 minutes depending on where you are.
They don’t accept payment for field fees at the the field, only at the store, something that isn’t mentioned anywhere on the website , which apparently hasn’t been updated in 5yrs as of this review.
I am never going back, I’d rather drive the 500 miles to ballahack to play then ever go back to...
