Cardenas Markets — Local services in Watsonville

Stopped to buy some kale (which they carry, I've bought it before) and they were out. Not a big deal normally, but they were out because the taqueria (deli) inside TOOK ALL THE KALE FOR DECORATIONS. Yes, they like to decorate the edges of the deli trays and drink area with kale. It looks nice... but why in the world would you take the last of something that you sell, and essentially throw it away? It was not wilting or getting old either, I checked. So I just grabbed some avocados instead, and went to pay. There were 4 lines open, and in each one there are 2 or 3 carts LOADED to the brim with stuff. Use the express lane you say? THEY DON'T HAVE ONE. To make matters worse, the cashiers are yelling to each other asking for codes for foods they don't know, which then slows all the lanes down even further, as every cashier stops what they are doing to help. It took so long I had to leave without buying my avocados since I was on my lunch break and had to get back. Who manages this store? Why do they still have a job? It's easy: don't take the last of an item to use for decoration when paying customers would like to purchase it. Open a damn express aisle! And make sure there is a binder or list of all the grocery codes at each register. This isn't...

Boy do I have a lot of comments on this store it was better when it was mi pueblo I went in to use the restroom and it was a disaster it was so dirty and messy I ask for the manager and when I told the manager all she did was look at one of the workers and say would you go check the restroom instead of her going herself and looking and saying you know we need to clean up someone to get in here and clean it up that was one thing another thing their meat department their chicken wings looks like

I would not recommend the Cardenas App at all.. it's literally an insult to injury when grocery prices are at an all-time high what kind of reward system literally pays you 1% of what you spend at the grocery store.. 500 points for $5, 1000 points for $10?! If you spent $250 a week on groceries in one month that's $1,000 on groceries that you spent for your family. In 2 weeks you spend $500 and you get a $5 reward off your purchases that's literally 1% at the end of two weeks, that you accumulated of said rewards, when you spend $1,000 at the grocery store you get $10 reward off your purchase again that's what you accumulate off said rewards, that's literally 1% of what you spent in the entire month.
