Again, I hate to down rate Illinois businesses but in this case I have to. At least until my issue is properly addressed. The good is that they charge lower than say corporate shops and give you an excellent warranty..the bad is that if you develop an issue with your setup...they will blame it on everything under the sun rather than fix the issue. Take my case for example. Went in mid-May to get some new speakers installed (Kicker) to replace my blown factory speakers. One week later, I developed problems with audio intermittently crackling or cutting in and out of the speakers (still present today). I go in to have the problem looked at and they blamed it on things such as:
-Phone volume being too loud -usb to aux dongle is bad (verified this isn't the case by listening to headphones or through my home stereo. They refuted this by saying that a home stereo has a much greater frequency response than a car stereo.(frequency response has nothing to do with sounds cutting in and out in this manner)
-they also blamed it on audio compression either by Bluetooth or through the streaming music source. Again, compression has nothing to do with sounds cutting in and out of speakers and crackling.
they even blamed it on my phone itself because they couldn't find the issue when testing by listening to the FM Radio which, by the way has a far lower frequency response and SNR than streaming music or Bluetooth.
All of these are invalid claims when you consider that my factory speakers never did any of this under the same listening conditions and that again, I don't have the issue through headphones or when listening at home. So.. Where's the issue? Clearly within the wiring job they did or something is faulty within the speakers themselves but so far, they've been unwilling to admit...

I have been struggling with my car audio system for a while and i finally decided it was time to throw in the towel and set my pride aside. I chose to go into grand audio with the idea i would spend hundreds of dollars to have a AUDIBLE sound system. Defeated i walked in, and encouraged and educated i walked out, as i only had to spend some time with a smart lady, excited to help me. After my trip to grand audio, i went back to the garage and spent a little more time on the car and man… it is nice to hear music coming from my car. A couple weeks later, i decided it was time for an audio system upgrade on another car of mine. I was taken care of and treated well as i got the materials i needed. Now 2 cars sound real nice. Although didnt buy anything from my first visit there, i was still given the time and courtesy of a customer. She showed me multiple ways to tackle my issue and elaborated when i got confused. The way she showed me options from costing the most amount of money to me spending only a bit of time without pushing me to purchase any of their products bought me. Genuine people wanting to help thats why i would go to...
Read moreLet me just start off by saying I don’t do reviews often at all, I must either be very impressed or very disappointed. I am very impressed with the customer service that these folks have to offer for a couple reasons. The reason why I stopped by was because my stock rear door speakers and my amp weren’t working after I installed my aftermarket head unit, amp and subwoofer. My front stock door speakers were working fine but for some reason the rear door speakers weren’t, my amp was also on but my subwoofer wasn’t working. So after checking the car out with the help from the folks over at Grand Audio, we determined that it wasn’t because a wire was misplaced/loose or because I installed anything wrong. My subwoofer ended up being junk even though EVERYTHING was working just fine 2 days prior. So after explaining some possible reasons as to why my rear speakers weren’t working nor the subwoofer and after checking my cars wires and fuses from bumper to bumper AFTER the store hours, we ended up disconnecting the amp (for precautious reasons). Now I’m going back to buy a amp and a subwoofer over at Grand Audio. I thank them for their patience and their...
