Tacos El Vale — Restaurant in Waukegan

I tried Tacos El Vale and honestly had to come back the very next day—it’s that good! I ordered the tacos de asada, cecina, cheese fries, and a large horchata. The portions are generous, the food comes out hot and fresh, and the flavors are on point. You can tell they don’t cut corners here.

The tacos are packed with meat, perfectly seasoned, and served just right. The cheese fries were loaded and definitely a shareable portion (though I didn’t want to share!). The horchata was smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet—perfect with the meal.

This spot is booming for a reason. Great food, big portions, and you leave full and satisfied. Definitely a place I’ll keep...

Really solid taco/burrito/torta spot! Its tucked away in a bit of a run down shopping center but the storefront is clean, with a few tables for dine in. Got my food very quickly; the steak burrito was delicious! Steak is pretty chopped up but really tender and burrito has beans but no rice so its sturdy and filling but not too heavy. Both salsa options perfectly complemented the food. Price really can't be beat so I can def see myself coming back to try more...

was curious to try El Vale. Placed an order to go, very good service. We had Steak Burrito, and Chorizo tacos, chicken tacos and a Torta Cubana. Everything was excellent, the chicken tacos were a little dry but tasty. The chorizo tacos were very good, good quality chorizo. Steak burrito was delicious.
