This place does not receive even a full star I just had to pick 1 star to be able to write a review. This place just opened not too long ago and let me tell you it should have never opened in the first place! My first experience at taqueria Guadalajara will be my last! Horrible service I received and I made a complaint to the manager lady at the cashier register and she completely disregarded what I had to say. I ordered one of the most expensive plates one their menu and it was not worth the time or money. The mixed fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp I received were under cooked and I asked for them to recook them a little bit more and when they brought them to me 20 minutes later they were dry and too burnt. I only asked them to recook a little not burn my food! In the beginning I had also ordered a mini quesadilla for my daughter the same time I ordered my fajitas and they brought her order 30 minutes after I received mine. Which did not make sense because it doesn't take long to make a mini quesadilla! I was not given any utensils to eat with I has to ask for them. The guacamole I ordered had no salt and it had no good taste. When I complained about it upon paying for my food I told the manager lady this was my first time at this restaurant and I was not pleased with their service and I explained to her what happened and she gave me the rudest attitude and told me she would let the cook know he needs to do a better job. The way she said it looked and sounded like she did not care at all even though I told her I was a first time customer. Seems to me like they don't care about giving good service and business to new customers! Which is bad customer service and quality especially if your trying to establish a new business! Will not be...
Read moreOur company decided to try this place on a weekend. We always order from different locations in town and had heard good things online about them. I was disappointed that they do not allow you to pay over the phone and have someone pick up the food for you. They told me this is due to safety reasons to prevent fraud which I understand it's fine and some places don't want to go the extra step of verifying the info over the phone. Okay fine, however I show up and asked them if they can save my information so that next time we can simply pick up and the cashier in a still stated that they had to meet me in person first before they can even consider that but they can not allow it because people have done theft like this before. They told me my order would be ready in 10 minutes after placing it, I got to the restaurant 20-25 minutes after I placed it and I still had to wait about 10 more minutes for the food to be ready. If you're looking for a quick grab and go bite this is not the place. Somehow they do allow Uber delivery though?
As far as the food I'd give it a 3. We ordered 5 different orders. I asked them to label them for me, they said they would but they didn't okay, no big deal. However they got the simplest order on the list wrong, I had to verify my order was correct myself and then go back and ask them to change it. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail, I asked if it came with tostadas or crackers and they said it did. Sure enough when I opened the bag it didn't have any.
Maybe it's a different experience if you dine in, but I do not recommend this place if you're looking for a place to simply order from...
Read moreAfter we ordered, they brought one of us the wrong order, we ordered red enchiladas and was given green. They did take it back and returned with the food in record time. After she started to eat, she noticed all they did was throw red sauce all over the green enchiladas. We again mentioned to them that was not what we asked for. At this time must of us were almost done with our food. She didn't want to wait once again for them to fix the plate for the second time. As we were paying, we gave them feedback, we didn't think what they did was right to "fix" the plate. We knew she ate them because having to wait for a new plate was more of an inconvenience. We weren't arguing about paying. Their comment is why I am writing this review. She told us if she hadn't eaten them, she wouldn't have charged us for them. How was she supposed to know they tricked her without digging in? She admitted they did do it and that the kitchen was told not to do it again. Their inability to take responsibility was inexcusable. The public needs to be informed about taqueria guadalajara, a business that admits into wrongdoing and simply blames the customer- Do not expect good customer service if...
