The Village Cheese Shop — Local services in Wauwatosa

Cheese & meat plates, wine, nuts etc were found there. Sabina, the owner is just starting her business. She informed us that she will have sandwiches in the near future. I'm sure there will be more tasty food to come. We had cheese & meat plate. Our plate came with a small piece of bread, honey, & jam. The plates were tasty. You can select the type of cheese & meats. We did get to sample one of their specialty cheeses. It was delicious. We bought some nut's that were sold at the shop. They were good, but were expensive for the amount that you got. I had an Austrian cocktail with elderberry syrup. The informed owner informed us that she has the Elderberry Bush growing in her backyard. The cocktail had sparkling wine in it too. The cashier was very nice and helpful. My self with a friend and her kids went to get a nice experience to eat Wisconsin cheese. The other lady which i can only assume is the manager or the owner showed racism toward us. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and each table is 2 chairs to a table and we are 4 so we moved 2 chairs more to a table so we can fit. She came out and asked us to move because it is her policy for there to be enough space for people with strollers to pass. We understood, got up and went to sit at the bar inside. Later one a "American" family came and did the same thing but she said nothing to them. Unfortunately business was lost because once saw that we left with out buying the rest of the items. At the end its fine we continued our day and did not allow such a small closed minded women to effect our vacation but others who are not "american" please show la señors el respeto...

I recently discovered an awesome place to buy cheese: The Village Cheese Shop in Wauwatosa WI. I stopped there on 3-16-20 to shop for cheese and meat to serve at a Riesling wine tasting event I hosted. I was fairly clueless about what to buy. Shop owner, Sabrina, was very generous with her knowledge and time, helping me select four European cheeses and Northern Italian Prosciutto that paired perfectly with my wine choices.
