Black Twig Bakery — Restaurant in Wauwatosa

Love this place, so glad we checked it out! I ordered a bunch of custom sugar cookies for a corporate Chinese New Year event, and they turned out awesome. The cookies have just the right amount of sweetness, and aren’t too sweet (we got some from a different bakery last year and they were so sweet I couldn’t eat them). We also tried a few things from the bakery when we stopped by to pick up our order, and I must say the sugar cookies there (totally different from the custom ones, they have a buttercream frosting) are probably the best I’ve ever had! We also got an oatmeal creme pie and gosh what a delicious throwback to childhood. Already looking for an excuse to go back😄 and it’s a 20 minute drive! This bakery is by far one of the BEST bakeries in Milwaukee county. I have been coming here for years now and there is not one thing I have had here that I didn't like.

Sugar cookies are heavenly, cake bars are actual BARS with just the right amount of cake instead of those two bite cake pops you buy at Starbucks, and their blondie bars are absolute heaven with perfectly melty chocolate chips and icing on top. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are the best I've had from any bakery...ever.

My fiancé and I got to take their macaron class earlier this year too. The owners of the bakery lead that class and let you in on some of their macaron secrets. They're the best!

We ordered from C Adams/Black Twig Bakery for our wedding desserts, and would recommend them to anyone for an event, or just a sweet treat! The process for ordering for an event was easy, and Chelsea made things smooth and simple. We were able to order something that wasn't on their catering menu, but they require you to order 2 dozen or more of an item if doing that, which wasn't an issue. We got an assortment of desserts; vanilla cupcake w/ almond buttercream, chocolate cupcake w/ salted caramel buttercream, their fall/winter gingerbread cupcake, oreo and funfetti cake pops, brownie bites, chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodle cookies.
