The Well Red Damsel: A Romance Bookstore — Local services in Wauwatosa

If you’ve ever been to one of The Well Red Damsel’s popup events, you know how much effort and intention its owner, Natasha, puts into it. WRD has quickly become my favorite local bookstore, and it’s entirely because of the kindness, inclusivity, and generosity of Natasha. She gave southeastern Wisconsin a romance bookstore that celebrates love of all types and values people at its core, and it’s only been through pop up events thus far!

If you need a romance book or something with a little smut you found your one stop shop! The well read damsel is my go to stop for a good book that will make me kick my feet! Not only is there ALWAYS an amazing selection of books but the owner Natasha & her partner in crime Bert are the best! So personable and creative and always doing new things for the reading community in MKE! I’ve been to almost EVERY pop up they’ve had and now for the official book store opening I have my Saturday blocked off to be there! This bookstore is such a delight. I'm a big romance reader, and I haven't found a local indie that offers a decent romance selection, so it filled my heart with joy when I found out about The Well Red Damsel! It's a smaller space, but well-organized, and with a good selection of different types of romance. There's also fun bookish merch (book sleeves, bags, bookmarks, stickers) sprinkled throughout the store as well as some jewelry from local makers. Definitely worth a visit, and I hope to go back...
