Stop! You’ve found it: Milwaukee’s most exclusive and imaginative date night. Trove’s latest offering, Art Heist, has the theme of secrets. What kind of secrets, you ask? I’ll never tell. What I will say is that it’s an adventure. Think infrared alarms, hidden rooms, a devilish animatronic fortuneteller- and that’s just the puzzle portion. “Puzzle portion?” I hear you cry out in surprise and fascination. Oh yes. Not only is this event part escape room, but also a paint-and-sip featuring an array of mocktails to complement the action and intrigue your tastebuds. “Amazing!” You proclaim. And it is. But wait- that’s not all. Trove brings home a triple threat with LIVE, COSTUMED performances that will delve into not just historical art heists, but something much more elusive… their motivations. Visual art, theater, poetry, and music combine into a delectable cocktail (or should I say, mocktail) of creativity that is sure to delight and thrill, captivate and astound! You are guaranteed to have a memorable time, as not only is this an exquisitely curated, one-of-a-kind experience, but you’ll be going home with souvenirs. So whether you need to charm a slightly standoffish Tinder date or show your old lady that the spark is still alive, Trove is absolutely the place to be. With only twelve seats per showing, this intimate event is a rare gem. Don’t miss out! Treasure awaits.
This was my third time at Trove, and while their shows are each wildly different (even the space is radically transformed to suit the theme), they always have one thing in common: they’re a blast. Julia and Aaron do extraordinary work with electric enthusiasm. The ticket price is unbelievably low for two hours of interactive, inspiring fun that will broaden your appreciation for art in all its forms. Though there’s nothing that’ll beat it as a date, you could have an equally marvelous time with a friend or on your own. If you’ve found this page and are still deciding, what are you waiting for? There’s nothing else like...
Read moreMy husband and I attended Trove's event, "Into The Shadows," last week and had the most fantastic and entertaining evening!
Immediately upon walking into the space, we were transported into a completely different setting. Every inch was meticulously decorated with weird, interesting, and beautiful imagery and objects. We were glad we got there with plenty of time before the performance started because there was so much to look at and explore!
Once the main event started, we were completely immersed in the stories, history, and participative art. The balance between the three elements was perfect, and we really felt like we got a lot out of each piece of it. Being artists ourselves, we loved being able to create something during the event. The art was really well guided, so even if you didn't have any art experience it was so easy to follow along and make something beautiful, but it also left enough room to make something completely unique and your own too!
Julia and Aaron were fantastic hosts, from greeting everyone as we walked in the door, to chatting with us individually as we worked on our art, to providing us tasty themed mocktails! We're looking forward to the next event they host because we definitely want to come back again - and we'll for sure be bringing some...
Read moreThe space the artists of Trove Arts created is something that needs to be seen and experienced to be believed. With a show as unique as the space, Luminescence was an absolute delight.
LUMINESCENCE was an immersive experience unlike any other. I don’t think I will ever think of a light again in the same way. I will definitively return for future “hybrid art lessons” with friends or as a date night. I hear there are even art camps for kids and art parties. I hope I’m not too old for my own birthday party there. I’m excited to see what they do next!
The Parlour is part theater, part gallery, part studio, and 100% art. Stepping inside the unassuming bungalow, we were transported through time while being entertained with lively art history lessons, excellent effects, creative lighting, fantastic costumes, and best of all, the chance to learn from the artists as we created our own paintings. It was so fun to see what everyone created, novice artists and great talents alike.
This is no paint and sip. We blinged out our paintings with gold leaf! If you have never used gold leaf, you really need to try it. This evening was SO much fun and different in a REALLY good way. I can’t...
