"October" bumper plate order

I first placed in order with this company in August for a barbell and was extremely satisfied with my order and still am. Because of this I went ahead and pre ordered on September 1st, for a bumper plate set of 350 pounds to arrive "In October".

My friend had received bumper plates from them in the past, and picked them up at the North Jersey location himself with no issues, so that is where I received the initial recommendation to go with them for my weights.

Fast forward to October and I reach out to the owner trying to get an arrival estimate so my friend can pick up my weight set... His first response is that my pre order was for "Late October" even though it never mentioned "Late" anywhere when I shelled out the money up front to purchase the weights. This was my first sign of bad things to come...

October and November comes and goes without anyone from this company reaching out about any sort of delays. I had to reach out personally on several occasions just to get one response "plate have a delay". Any time I tried to get an estimate on this I did not receive one and its now December 23rd and GUESS WHAT, today I sent my friend down to the store to see what's what, and they have the bumper plates.

Coincidence? I guess you can decide that, but my personal opinion is that these guys have some serious financial issues and are using pre orders to purchase other orders and try to keep the business afloat. I know with Covid this could certainly be the case, but that's not how you run a business. You don't take money from people in advance and have them wait for almost 4 months for a product you said would arrive a month after pre order.

I don't normally write reviews, but I want anyone in the future to know that this company has to work out some serious issues moving forward, and if you are going to put out your money on a pre order with them, be prepared to wait an unknown amount of time.

Again the barbell is a very good product and hopefully the bumper plates are as well, but customer service is severely lacking, and expectations are almost non existent. No apology, credit, free t-shirt, anything to keep what could be a very loyal customer in the future retained.

I was in the market to finally add a soft foam plyo box to home gym to incorporate some calisthenics, HIIT, box squats, etc. I shopped around and compared almost every single vendor, and nothing comes close to the quality and value you get with ISF Soft Foam Plyo Box (this is the HEAVY DUTY one, that weighs 75lbs, not the lighter 15lb one!)

I've used the equivalent Rogue one and to get it to my house, it would've cost me around $380 with shipping. Since I live in NJ, I had the option for local pick up at the ISF warehouse in Totowa, and this box cost me almost half of what the Rogue would've cost me. And even if you aren't able to do local pick up, the cost plus shipping was still about $100 cheaper than the competition's offerings. I opened it up and tested it right away and being a big boy as I am (290lbs), I really needed something that was going to stay secure and not wobble during box jumps or step ups, and this thing gets the job done and gives me the confidence to really go at it during my workouts. It does not budge. If you are in the market for a soft plyo box, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend ISF's offering. I’ve been buying equipment from Isellfitness even before he had an official brand, when he sold used gym gear on Craigslist. Even then his pricing was the best I could find. Now with his own brand he hasn’t changed. Very high quality gear and great pricing. Always great to work with.

Completed (almost) my Kettlebell collection yesterday. The handles, powder coating & flat bottoms are perfect for all the movements. Cannot recommend these enough.

Side note - I own equipment from Sorinex, Rogue, Prime Fitness , MB Power - mostly specialty stuff. But Isellfitness should be anyone’s go to vendor with his prices & quality pieces.
