Hands down the only school you should consider if you want to be a bartender. I took the full-time class and while it was a ton of knowledge to obtain within one week, it was very achievable with the help of Joanne, one of the teachers at the school. Joanne is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she is very patient and soft spoken with her students. Not to mention she is an extremely talented bartender with a ton of experience and knowledge. If you simply pay attention, listen to Joanne and study, you should have no problem passing this class. Her son, Joey is the nighttime teacher and he is also a very nice and an extremely talented bartender (He learned from the best). Either way, you are in great hands at Mix Em Up and they are very helpful in finding you a job when your classes are all said and done. I was sad to graduate because I had so much fun going to class (and I am far from a morning person). But, I will definitely be taking her T.I.P.S certification offered at the school in the...
Read moreThey are not helping you find a job or letting you work with them at events unless you buy the mixology class which costs $600. You learn there how to make very basic cocktails and keep in mind your chances are close to zero to find a bartending job right after without experience. Do not trust the reviews, they ask you to give them a five star and a leave good review in order to get points for your exam.
Replying: First off all I took your course last year and I asked multiple times for a job opportunity, and I even texted to the number posted on ig story however I received no response. I asked Jesse for upcoming events, he answered me that he was only working people who took their mixology class., and added if he needed he would give a call. Guess what, no call whatsoever . That $20 they claim theyâre giving to the students who worked at events, counts towards the studentâs payment. So, if you donât purchase their mixology class, you wonât be called to work with them. Such a...
Read moreI seriously enjoyed my time at the school! itâs genuinely a good place to learn bartending. I went through a lot of scam sites looking for a class and this was the first thing that read is legit. Itâs great for getting hands-on experience, and learning drink names in a unique way! I personally love the instructors Veronica, Damon, and Yaya, their just straight up awesome people! The only possible downside that I can say is that sometimes there is downtime in the class where you wish you could be practicing but youâre waiting for everybody to set up, but I just found out thatâs because this class is getting popular and I happened to be in a big one. Get registered ASAP this class is about to blow up for real. And for a good reason. I enjoyed myself and genuinely feel like Iâll be confident behind the bar! Thanks guys!! Big...
