After going to this salon for a few months, I decided to switch. I've never EVER felt welcome at the salon. I've been stared at blankly while waiting at the counter to pay for 5 minutes at a time, ignored, and given attitudes.
The finished product (hair coloring/cut/style) is great. But the experience there is terrible. Here is the instance that made me switch:
I had an appointment at 2:45pm and get a call at 2:40pm asking for me to wait until 3:30pm. I only had a wash/cut/dry which ended up taking about 30 min total. I told them I couldn't do 3:30pm bc I had another appt and I was already outside of the salon. The lady, who gave me an attitude, put me on hold and a man picked up. They figured it out and put me with another stylist bc mine was "running late" (after trying to make me come in the next day even though I was standing outside). Mind you- my stylist "ran late" almost every time. Once I walked in, the man led me back to get my hair washed. This was the first time I've ever been led back. The past times I've been there, they just gave me a blank stare, told me someone would come to wash my hair, and I ended up waiting for 5+ min not knowing what to do at the wash station and wondering when someone will at least look in my direction (yes, I understand if it's busy. But the times I've been there, it hasn't been).
You can tell that the people who work there don't take the time to get to know their customers or make them feel welcome. The person who washed my hair introduced herself twice to me in the matter of 2 minutes and didn't really know what the plan was for my hair (she asked me if I wanted conditioner. I'm no professional... but really?). I will say- the stylist I was put with, Shirley, was great. She took her time to make a great finished product. But when I saw my original stylist at the salon (who I've gone to multiple times in the past) she didn't even look my way or apologize. And I received NO apology from anyone at the salon. I DO NOT WANT TO COME BACK TO TOUR HORRIBLE PLACE ANYWAY MELISSA, that HORRIBLE LADY SAID " because you left us a very bad review that's why they will never refund my money, do whatever you can do you will never have your hard earned money back from us". My $300 they will never be happy with that and they will have their "KARMA" back to them, especially THAT HORRIBLE LADY "MELISSA ".

I spent $300 TO HER TO RUINED MY HAIR COMPLETELY ON A DAY BEFORE "MOTHER'S DAY", I CRIED SO MUCH ON MOTHER'S DAY..My hair WAS so shiny and super healthy, I also got 6 sessions of keralease hair treatment from Slate spa to make it more healthy and shiny. but after the treatment it's ALL GONE. MY HARD EARN MONEY ALL GONE WITH JUST ONE CASUAL BALAYAGE TREATMENT AT THE GALLERY SALON.
I called manager the manager and they kept disconnecting the call on me and manager LAUGHED AT ME when I explained her and my current hair texture and what AGA did to my hair. MY HAIR WAS SPLITTING IN HALF after the treatment, it was so scary because I HAVE MY VACATION COMING FOR a VACATION, FOR FAMILY REUNITE AND SHE RUINED NY HAIR JUST BEFORE A MONTH. She didn't even returned my calls OR REFUND MY MONEY.
I have been waiting for the Owner to REFUND MY MONEY,I SPENT $300 WITH $25 TIP WITH I BOUGHT $40 PRODUCT FROM HER (WHICH I didn't even need but she pushed at me a lot so I bought it) IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS NOW THEY DIDN'T RETURNED MY CALL AND ALSO DIDN'T GIVE BACK MY MONEY.
Now I have to go and spend $2000 to fix my hair texture in Slate spa. They literally ROBBED ME. I HAVE BEEN CRYING AND IN LOTS OF STRESS. BUT THEY DONT CARE ONCE YOU PAID, YOU PAID.

Read moreI love my hair! Kelly is my hairstylist for years and we always get creative to make a transformation on my hair. I used to go to another salon and this one is way better. It’s spacious, modern, clean, bright with good lighting. I felt like the staff were all very attentive of me and made me feel comfortable and important. From the entrance, receptionists are all charming and genuinely kind. Shirley washed my hair and helped Kelly too. She was detailed, thorough and took her time to make sure I felt cared for. You can tell by the little things when a person is truly considerate, the way she combed my hair was deliberate and kind. Kelly has been my favorite hairstylist for years and now it’s just gotten better. He is like family to me. His expert advice added to my inspiration makes the difference. I have a few friends who go to this salon too and they love it. Actually I started coming here because of my best friend’s referral too.
