If I could give this place a zero, I would. Just payed $270 for THE WORST highlighting job I have ever gotten in my life. MY HAIR IS RUINED and FALLING OUT!! I asked the stylist, alannah, I think her name was, to give me a root touch up on my curly hair highlights. I asked her to avoid the already blonde parts, so I wouldn’t get extreme damage and she agreed. As she started doing my hair, I could tell that she didn’t even know how to brush curly hair well, as she was starting from THE ROOTS, which is very annoying and painful. Then she started bleaching my hair, but I noticed she was going way beyond my roots. After finishing the back of my hair, she walked away for 15+ minutes making a new batch of bleach. I silently sat and prayed that my hair wouldn’t suffer severe damage. After finally finishing the rest of my hair, she later brought me over to sit down in the hair washing area and walked to another client, leaving my scalp burning and hair slowly DYING. I’m no hair expert, but i think it’s common knowledge to not leave bleach in for over 30 MINUTES!! When she started taking out the foils, i saw WHITE STRANDS OF HAIR. I started trying to run my fingers through my hair and the white pieces came out IN CHUNKS! I asked the lady why THAT was happening and she said it’s “normal”. Then she spent around 40 minutes putting in BOTTLES of glaze and toner into my hair, probably trying to fix the mess she had made. I have never cried more over a hair appointment. 4 years of trying keep my curly hair healthy have gone down the drain because of this salon and the stylists carelessness. I initially went in for a haircut with Yaren. I wanted a short cut. When she saw me and I explained what I wanted, she told me she would not be able to do it because she was more comfortable with cutting longer hair. Then immediately she tried to find someone who would be able to give me the hair cut I wanted. This spoke of her character and integrity as she just lost money by giving one of her colleagues Rosalie, the hair cut, who by the way gave me an awesome haircut! She could have winged it but didn't. Additionally, Yaren sat and asked for pointers from Rosalie so she could become more comfortable with short hair cuts. After my cut and blow dry, Yaren offered to style my hair because she remembered the picture I came in with and wanted me to leave with that image! When I was talking to her about my hair cut I also mentioned how I wanted to do highlights and showed her what I wanted. She had said she would be able to do them another time. So about 2 weeks later I scheduled having my highlights with her and she did a fantastic job!! Yaren will be who I go to for my long cuts and highlights from now on. I went to Fierce Salon for highlights and a blowout, and my hair was definitely over-processed. While waiting for the color to lift, I opened a foil and saw my hair looked elastic. I told the stylist, but she said not to worry and kept me under the heat lamp for several more minutes instead of rinsing it immediately. My concerns were dismissed. Now I’m dealing with fragile hair and significant breakage. The process also ruined my ability to wear my hair naturally wavy. I had specifically asked for a low-maintenance result, but now I have to style my hair after every wash just to mask up the damage.

The staff was friendly, but I wish they had paid closer attention to my hair and listened to my concerns. The color did turn out beautiful, but I think we could have achieved that without over processing. I value wearing my hair naturally a lot and this just ruined it for me. I regret getting highlights here and unfortunately will have to live with the damage until...
