Hometown Creamery — Restaurant in Wayne

I am very disappointed in the level of service that I received from Hometown Creamery. I am not sure if I am to blame the staff or the owners. I reached out via phone several times to both locations inquiring about their ice cream cart for private that was pictured on their website. The staff didn't have any information on it and told me they would text the owners with my contact information so that they could call me and discuss the details. Well, it took 3 tries - phone calls to the store then a text from the staff to the owner - before I finally got a call back from the owners. Once I did, we discussed the details and I was told I would receive an email with what we discussed and some additional information including flavor options by the end of the day. When that email didn't come, I opted to book someone else because I feared that they were so unreliable up until this point, what happens if they don't show the day of the event?! I visit hometown creamery often because their ice cream is so delicious!!! We visit to celebrate wins after games with our sports teams and the staff Is always so patient with our kids!! The owner Albert surprised our children with t-shirts after they asked what age they need to be to start working there. They were thrilled!! Just tonight, I tried ordering ice cream on door dash but app was down. I called to tell them about the issue and they offered to deliver it to my home!!! I’ve had a dairy allergy since birth so I could cry anytime an ice cream shop has vegan flavors. I’ve had almost every kind of vegan ice cream within a 20-mile radius and this is hands down the best I’ve had.

I tried the Cookie Batter vegan ice cream and I was terrified it was actually real ice cream based on how good it was! It was so creamy and was better than any pint you could get from the store.

My husband got a regular Oreo Mint ice cream and said it was so good and so creamy!
