Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Wayne

Stopped here on the way home when I ordered a blizzard and got the wrong one, which contains nuts and I have a nut allergy. All I did was call the store nicely to explain they gave me the wrong order and try to explain I had an allergy so I couldn’t eat it. I was 30 minutes away at this point and tried to ask for a refund. The worker with the split dye hair tried to blame it on me for accepting the ice cream, which is like why would I ever accpet an order with nuts if i’m allergic?!? They agreed to put the lids on the icecream so why would I open this when I wasnt even home yet. The store didnt take accountability and sounded more inconvenienced about the mention of a refund. I’m more annoyed about the principle of the situation, not the money. A simple apology for almost sending someone to a severe allergic reaction would have been nice instead they didnt want to hear why I even bothered calling the store, simply just blaming me the customer on an honest but consequential...

DQ is one of my favorite places since childhood. It still is. Just a tad disappointed with the last cake purchase. It was poorly constructed, way more crunchies than necessary which displaced the amount of ice cream to crunchie ratio. They spilled out of the cake when cut making it hard to cut and very messy. I paid $27.99 for ice cream, not crunchies. It clearly looked like it was the first time the person was making the cake or was in a hurry and really didn't care about precision. I stopped buying the other local chain competition's cakes for the same exact reason. This is the first time and hopefully the last time I buy a cake that is not up to par. I love DQ ice cream too...

I raced over to this DQ a few weeks ago getting to the door 5 minutes before closing. I feel so guilty doing this because I know staff wants to clean up and close the register so that they can leave on time. But there was no issue and we decided to eat the ice cream in the car so they could close up. To my surprise they accepted costumers for another hour past the closing! Still smiling and multitasking between closing up and handling costumers. They got costumers out fast and although they would be in the right to turn people away they did not.
