Praana Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Wayne

Oh this place took me back in time when I was in India. The food is so authentic and made with love that I regret not finding about this fully vegetarian Indian restaurant earlier. We were a group of 6, including 2 little ones and had a great service experience with Mr. Arun and the other lady (from Hyderabad).. They were prompt, warm and courteous. They went the extra mile in being super nice to the kids; even played their favorite tracks to dance to! We were the only group dining in on a Saturday evening and this place deserves much more love! The Rajma dish was easily the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The key aspect that I think separates this restaurant from all others is that they use far lesser cream (and not at all where not needed) which is like a shortcut most Indian restaurants in the US take to make their dishes taste rich. My review for Prana may be biased since my brother owns this. But I can tell you that he really cares for not just his customers, but also for his staff and focuses primarily on the quality of food, variety, and the overall experience of all the people who visit. The food is so good that whenever we visit him at home, we make it a point to have at least one meal at Prana, and also place take away orders so we can relish the flavors later at home.

Prana is a vegetarian restaurant with so many flavorful items on the menu. There are many great breakfast items if you like you start your day early, and satisfying entree for lunch and dinner.

He also owns Paheli which is a mile or so away in wayne, so if you are looking for non vegetarian menu, you can head there.

My husband, son and I had a delicious vegetarian meal at Praana by Paheli in Wayne, NJ. It was our first time there and both the staff were helpful with suggestions. We started with Pani Puri and Aloo Papdi Chaat as appetizers. Very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the Pesarattu, which is a green lentil pancake.
