Mayo beach is a little of a hissy jem. First of all, the parking is Free! It also is a great beach for families and those fending off waves. It has a very shallow entrance at low tide so it's perfect for kids playing in the water. Given it is not a beach with a lifeguard on duty, there are some advantages. One can fly a kite, use inflatables and other water crafts. There are portapodies right across the street from parking lot next to the playground. Also a walk away you will find several restaurants.

Great place to enjoy a quiet late summer sunset. Just a handful of folks spread out, picnicking, soaking in the warmth and the breeze. Lovely little detour on our route from Provincetown back towards Hyannis.

Beautiful scenic bayside beach with warm calm water and gorgeous views of the harbor. Stop by the wellfleet market to pack your cooler ( just a few minute away in downtown Wellfleet), and then relax, and watch the boats come and go in the bay. Go for a swim in the calm clean water, and then walk right up the beach to one of several great seaside places to eat. This little slice of the outer Cape is well...

Mayo Beach is a wonderful venue for a start and finish of the 43rd annual Wellfleet 5 mile road race. The venue has expansive views of Wellfleet harbor.
