These guys are awesome! They're still doing business the way it should be done! I'm from the east coast. My children and I were passing through Iowa on our way out west when the turbo on my EcoDeisel burned up. Luckily I was near the Brown's West Branch dealership. I got in there the next morning. Erick, the service manager, listened to me for 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was before touching the truck, and the codes confirmed it. My truck was dead right there. It was going to take at least 10 days to get it back. It was covered by warranty, but I couldn't be stranded there that long. I needed to buy a new truck to continue on our trip. Eliot went through every truck on the lot with me. No heavy sell at all! He didn't try to sell me the most expensive truck on the lot either. He talked to me to see what I needed in a truck and then helped me find the right one for my needs. They had a great selection of trucks! James, the manager, worked with me to come to a decent deal. They really had be over a barrel and could have refused to negotiate at all on price, but they didn't. They negotiated with me fairly and I received a deal I could live with. They gave me fair trade-in value for my truck, even with the huge problem it had. Jamie found local financing, that would lend to someone from out of the area, for me, and they accepted my personal check for money down on the truck on a handshake and a promise. While the new truck and paperwork was being readied(they took the cap off my old one and installed it on the new one, no charge!)they gave me a loaner car so I could take the kids to eat. Jamie recommended a great restaurant in town, so we went there. When it came time to pay the bill we were told Jamie had already paid for our lunch! This is how business should be done, but unfortunately it's not that way in many places. I can't say enough great things about these guys! I'll probably go all the way back out to these guys when I'm ready for...
Read moreI want to thank the people at Brown's West Branch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership for making a dream of 20 plus years come true. I have always wanted to own a Jeep, but life always seem to get in the way. I retired and set out to find a Jeep that I on a fixed budget could afford. If you have been looking you know that Jeeps at $17000.00 or under have 100000 plus miles. I visited a few Dealerships that left me extremely frustrated . Their salesmanship along with their Jeeps left a lot to desire. Then I found this beautiful 2016 Jeep Patriot with only 46000 miles, and it had all the bells and whistles at Brown's West Branch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram . When I arrived I was greeted in the parking lot as soon as I was out of my car. My salesman was knowledgeable about the Jeep I was looking at, answered all my questions and if he did not know he went and got the information I wanted. They actually listen to me, my wants and needs in purchasing this Jeep, so when I said the price was a little high for my budget they met and exceeded my expatiation. I could go on for awhile about this Dealership. I am 67 years old and I have purchased a lot of new and used vehicles, and my opinion the so called Big Dealerships could learn a lot from Brown's West Branch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. So if you want to purchase a vehicle and when the deal is complete and you shake hands and actually feel good about it, then go to what I am now calling Iowa's best kept secret Brown's West Branch Chrysler Dodge...
Read moreService Department is awesome. I purchased my Jeep from a different dealership and had always gone there for service needs. Recently I had an issue and was told it would take two weeks to get the Jeep looked at. I scheduled an appointment and within a week The performance of my Jeep had deteriorated to the point that I nearly got stranded. My previous dealership got me in on an emergency basis and after waiting nearly two hours I was told that my battery was bad ($400 for a new one) and then was given the news that the battery didn't fix the issue. I kept my appointment the following week. I told them that since they replaced the battery my navigation had me in Topeka Kansas instead of Iowa City Iowa. I was told that this had nothing to do with the battery being replaced. Funny that it worked before they messed with my battery. I was given a quote for $1700 to fix the issues. When I refused, they proceeded to negotiate down the price...I paid the diagnostic fee and called a different mechanic who referred me to Brown's. Todd and Joe were a breath of fresh air. They got me in for diagnostics the same day I called, treated me like a human, diagnosed the issue properly (didn't need as much as I was previously quoted) and fixed my issues. There is no question that I will be returning to Brown's if I have any issues...
