We recently finished a build with a custom home builder. Through this builder, they put us in contact with Custom Distributors. We received horrific customer service from Brenda at the West Carrollton location. When we bought our appliances, she mentioned that we would be eligible for a rebate but gave us no paperwork at that time. She said that she would just keep me updated once our appliances were installed in the home on what to do. I reached out to her once the first two appliances were installed but she said that we would have to wait to file a rebate until the whole GE cafe series line was delivered. I believe we were still waiting on the refrigerator. I reached out to her three times in March 2017. She did not reply once to any of the emails. On the fourth email, she finally replied and then said it was too late for the rebate. She stated that she just didn't get any of the other emails that I had sent which is not possible. We would have gotten back $899. I reached out to her manager (Rick) who was extremely rude in his reply back stating that it was really out fault that we missed it. I called the GE customer service line and they were in agreement with me that management should compensate us on their customer service reps mistake and lack of effort in assisting us in getting the rebate. She never even gave us the paperwork on it. They recommended that I reach out to a GE rep for an exception. I contacted him and he told me to fill out the online form. I tried several times but it does not let you move forward in the process if it is past the final date. I asked him several times what I should do....no reply. That $899 was going to assist us with our moving expenses and was something that we were counting on receiving back at the end of our build. I was extremely unimpressed with the lack of care on Brenda and Rick's part. I would not recommend using Custom Distributors. We would have been better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's. If I have message from Michelle as my contact person for the day, then when I phone Rachel answers and transfers me to Sarah...why have none of these ladies NOT answered my inquiry/message after three hours? Rachel or whomever answers the phone could certainly be a point person!! I have waited all day! Had a person arriving for 'old stove' at 5:00.... Received a call at 3:10 that the delivery guy got 'held up' and wanted to come at 5:00; promised delivery was between 1:00-4:00pm. I had a great experience with sales, pre-delivery and now this? Phoned and spoke to Dwight (Sarah, Michelle etc seem to be lost) as I would like a guaranteed time for a delivery tomorrow... At 4:30 Dwight did return my call!! Now I am on tomorrow's schedule for delivery and NEWS FLASH!!: they offer a one hour call ahead service!!! Makes you wonder why pre-delivery guys, Michelle, Sarah, or Rachel don't tell the consumer "here's your three hour window and we'll actually phone at the one hour mark so you can actually leave home" Second visit to install the handles and knobs went well and communication for time arrangement was accurate. The Cafe stove is a great improvement and we enjoy using it! Both delivery crews were very informative with personal stories and tips of how to care for this new stove.
