Me and my wife came to the Westchester location. To look for and buy a bed We get there no one greets us Next we ask associate.Where are the beds located They had no clue although they worked there. After walking through this large store, we finally find the beds. And there are no salesmen to be found on the sales floor So no. ONE to answer your questions that you may have about their products That could be useful in what i'm about to tell you that happens eventually. We find a bed that had a price tag for the entire set of three hundred and fifty dollars. So we take a picture of it. Mind you, this is the only price tag that is shown for that entire bed. So next we go downstairs , find a dolly And pick out the parts For the bed. Also, finding associate to help.Load your card with the items you're buying from their store. next to impossible Then when you get up to the checkout finally. And the bed is scanned. It comes up $500. Which is a $150 more than it was advertised at. Mind you there was no sign next to this bed on the sales floor. Which, if an associate had helped us find this could have mentioned if the sign was not there. So we have a question about the price. Of course. Because it's more than we saw on the price tag. So we asked the cashier about tsurprise. So she goes and gets someone else and and he does not know how to correct the issue. So he goes to someone else with a very rude and sarcastic voice. Being very rude in front of customers. Perhaps he is unaware that his paycheck is coming from those who come in there to shop. And after. Explaining to this supervisor who did not know anything about customer service. I can tell you that. When asked about the price Discrepancy. And? After saying that is false advertising and misleading. When there was no price Saying that it was $500 for the entire bed.He then told me that the tag must have came off.Or fell? Maybe if a sales person was greeting us while looking at their product , they could TELL US THAT But it seems to them causing customers inconvenience although the customer is the reason they have a job. The price at the checkout was not the problem if it had been correctly displayed I could have pick something different up stairs. Not to mention I was willing to pay for delivery and setup fees as well I'm still awaiting a call from management to see if they will address this issue and make this right if they do I will post it to a review to that effect or if this is not rectify we will take our business to wayfair we found a comparable item with same features with delivery and assembly for under $400 we will see if customer satisfaction is important to them but the rudeness and unfriendly staff is awful at this ikea buyer beware and these stores don't understand word of mouth and social media can reach thousands of...
Read moreI came to the store last night with my daughter and her children. They had only one line available for check out. After standing in the line for a few minutes they open up two more checkout as my daughter was scanning her purchases. One of the workers came over and ask us do we need assistance. My daughter ask her a question regarding a curtain rod she wanted to purchase. The clerk had no idea how the curtain rods work. So she decided not to get the product. So the clerk remove the item and start re scanning all her items as if she miss something we told her several times those items was already scan. She stated O it not rescanning I’m just making sure the items where all collected. After she finish. The total was higher then expected. So as my daughter was looking at all the items and counting them. She notice she was charge double. The clerk comes back and say is everything ok. We stayed to her she scanned multiple items of the same product. She half way go through the items and start counting and realize she did scan multiple items so the price when from $179 to $119. My daughter still have to double check for accuracy. So my daughter was ready to pay for her purchase and the clerk says to us this machine don’t take cash. It card only. We said to the clerk why didn’t you said that at first. Ya had one check out area available. We been in this line for a while u til they open two other check out station. Talking about the level of frustration. We decided after all of that not to purchase our items. Keep in mind woe have 4 kids with us. 2 was babies. They need to do a little bit better with customer services and train there people to be more global citizens and treat people right. I think the clerk thought we was stealing and racial profiling us as if we didn’t know what she was doing. I love this store but I don’t support this type of behavior and any store such as this will not any of my hard earned money period. They need to do better I should have recorded this and put it on...
Read moreAbsolute insanity even with the first view. A bustling parking lot so be careful with tour drive in. I immediately felt overjoyed with the bright entrance and people eating at the cafeteria. The escalator up let you know how expansive the store would be from the get go. With a small pencil and brochure to jot down the items for the future self service warehouse, I started my journey. Each area has noticeable sections built up to be seen as affordable apartments, kitchens, dinning rooms and office areas. The overall assembled items come with the combined price alongside the individual items. The value, product number, the aisle and slot is listed for the items so you can jot it on the back of the map brochure. Use it well to find the necessary items for your best life. I ended up with a 20 dollar bookshelf that is thick and sturdy.
The cafeteria is a little insane. Walk up with a tray and grab the Swedish meatballs for 8.99 and some other Vegan and Savory options. The cakes, yogurts and other items will be available in a large case. Later in the journey past checkout will be a grocery store option for Swedish items and other food options for the kitchen. Be progressive and make the best choice but leave with something to eat. The track of the labyrinth seems long and the wallet will need a light break.
Overall, I like idea. You won't need a review to go but it's good to know what you can budget. Prepare for the organization section and cheap kitchen products that will entice. I bought 6 champagne flutes for 5 dollars on a whim. Never go on an empty stomach and never have a vague idea. You end up with a list of stuff and too many decisions to make. Some items seem cheap but look hard for exactly what you want. Have a fun time and do it...
