I've had to work in the Fairfield OH area on several occasions, and based on the recommendation of a person I worked with, I opted to try First Watch. My first experience was back in October 2020 at the Liberty Township location. I only had breakfast, but it was excellent. I then tried the First Watch on the Floer Dr, as it was much closer to my hotel. On this occasion, I had breakfast early in my stay and had lunch on the day I left.
I'm pretty simple when it comes to breakfast, as I generally gravitate towards the staples of eggs, some kind of meat, potatoes and bread. And coffee. The breakfast did not disappoint, as the eggs we're done to my liking, which is medium, the bacon was fantastic as it was a slightly thicker cut. Finally, the starches were done well, too. The potatoes are not overcooked and the bread was fresh and rather filling. Something I found cool is they provide water in a glass milk jug. That way, you don't have to keep bothering a person for a refill.
On the day of my departure, I opted to have a Monterey Club sandwich with Italian wedding soup as my side. I'm pretty particular about lunch meats or whatever kind of meats are put on my sandwich. This one seemed fresh shaved, or they used a brand I wasn't familiar with. The combination of the soft bread, meat and condiments was definitely to my liking. The soup, it wasn't great nor was it bad. It just needed something a little more in the way of spices to make it less bland. Nonetheless, I ate the entire bowl, so it wasn't that bad.
I plan to visit First Watch when I'm back in Fairfield, or for that matter, in any area where they have a restaurant. It's a moderately priced option for a good, sit down...
Read moreFirst Watch is hands-down one of the best spots for breakfast, and their seasonal holiday menu makes it even more special! Whether you're a breakfast enthusiast or just looking for a cozy place to start your day, this restaurant truly delivers on all fronts.
One standout from their holiday menu that I absolutely loved was the Cinnamon Chip Pancake Breakfast. It’s the perfect mix of indulgence and comfort—fluffy pancakes infused with sweet cinnamon chips that melt in your mouth. They’re beautifully golden, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice to feel festive without being overwhelming. Plus, the dish comes with freshly cooked eggs (any style you like) and your choice of breakfast meat—bacon or sausage. Everything on the plate is cooked to perfection, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.
The holiday menu in general adds a fun and seasonal touch, with creative dishes that feel festive and fresh. It’s great to see a restaurant that embraces the season so thoughtfully!
Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a breakfast or brunch. The restaurant is often crowded and noisy at peak times, so check Google Maps for early or late times if you want a more relaxed dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring your meal is just right. First Watch also prides itself on fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it shows in every bite.
If you're looking for a delicious breakfast experience, especially during the holiday season, First Watch is a must-visit. The Cinnamon Chip Pancake Breakfast alone is worth the trip, but everything on the menu shines. Highly recommended for breakfast lovers and...
Read moreFirst time visiting the restaurant, never heard of it before. I was in the area to meet up with a friend that I haven't seen in years. I wanted to treat him to lunch, but had no idea where to dine. So, we met at a location and just started driving around. I pulled into a parking lot because I saw 3 restaurant side by side. A lady walked out of First Watch and I asked her about the food, she said it was delicious. So, in we went and boy am I glad we did. First, we had a wonderful waiter, I hate I didn't get his name ( I usually do), but I was a little preoccupied reading their delicious menu (yes, it read beautifully). I ask our waiter what he'd recommend and he said everything was good. Ok. That's the 2nd time I heard this in less than 10 minutes. LOL. He began to give me a run down of my choices, making each one sound better than the previous. It was to the point where I wanted to order one of each just to try them out. I know, it would not have ended well. Instead, I decided on two items and neither disappointed. I wasn't ready for the size of the dishes when they came out, so naturally I have lunch for tomorrow.
Oh, my friend from work who I haven't seen in years...he enjoyed his food too. He also had to bring home 1/2 of his dish.
I'm glad I made a few turns looking for a place to dine, it was a welcomed and pleasant experience. If you are ever in the neighborhood and want to stop for a bite to eat, you won't be disappointed. I plan on making those turns again soon, there are several dishes on that beautifully written menu with my name on them. What I'm saying is,...
