Let me start by saying that we typically love going to Top Golf for quick outings with family or friends. We enjoy it so much, that my daughter decided to have her birthday party there a couple of weeks ago. This review is based on that experience. At first, we thought it was a fairly good deal. 10 kids meals, plus two bays, unlimited drinks for the kids, decorations, and tables for the gifts and cake for $300. What they don't spell out is that there is a $60 service fee until after we booked. Not ideal, but I figured ok it's like leaving a tip for the service we receive. The other bummer was that you can't use Top Golf gift cards to pay for the event. Just another inconvenience. Anyways, we were told to show up 15 minutes early and so we did. We walked in and the two people at the event kiosk were rude to my wife. Acting like we were just walking in without a reservation. After explaining that we had something booked, they told us that we arrived too early and they weren't ready. Ok then. The rudeness was not necessary and we were only doing what were told. After 5 or so minutes someone different came and retrieved us and took us to our area. The decorations were some basic balloons, but whatever at this point. Just trying to enjoy the day. From this point, we had a decent time. Service was average at times. Other bays had loud rowdy guests that were drinking, but what can you do? It's like taking a kid to a sporting event. As time wore down things started to wrap up and the bill came. A few items that should have been included weren't and we had to ask why were charged for kids drinks and so on. The real baffling problem was when we asked for a box to take some of the uneaten kids meals with us. There was probably about 4 in total. Each with a burger, fruit, chicken fingers, and tots. I was told that we really aren't allowed to take the food. Like really? We paid for the food so why not? How is this any different from any other time? I would assume they are going to throw it away anyways so why? No explanation. Our hostess managed to "sneak" us one small box and said to keep it on the down-low. Seriously? We packed as much as we could and left baffled. No one could explain it. Overall, this was just an expensive way to have a party when you think about it. We could have rented two bays for two hours for $140 at the time. Ordered 10 kids meals for $60 each, drinks for about $20, brought our balloons, leave a tip based on level of service we received, and not left real likes weirdos smuggling out food for which we paid for less than $360. Not a place for kids parties really or just buy everything separate. No value to the package at all other than it saved two bays next to each other. Not sure that's worth price difference when you can reserve bays in other ways. This wasn't a horrifying event by any means. It was just disappointing. It was so different from other times we've been there. It left a bad impression on the other couple of adults. Not a first choice when it comes to...
Read moreReserved a bay for Father's Day a week prior, and time slots were already dwindling, but we were able to snag one for early afternoon. As expected the doors opened to what looks like chaos and disorganization at first, with no one stationed at the reservation desk for check in, we weaved our way to the standard check in line and waited a little to get checked in.
Our bay wasn't ready when we arrived, but we had arrived 15 mins early (advised) to get checked in and start our time on time. We waited a few more minutes and were brought to a bay on the first floor, which was preferred with our 2 year olds, but it was a "dreaded high top." We were not thrilled but would make due because they were very busy for Father's Day. I requested a high chair for the high top and he said they had them but they really just have toddler booster seats to put on the chairs which worked but they don't attach to the chairs well (or at all) so they move around if your kids are wigglers.
We played a few games, and the kids mostly watched till the end, and we helped them hit a couple balls before the timer was up. We ordered the pretzels, which were decent but the cheese was strange to us so we didn't eat the dips. We also ordered the chips and guac, and the salsa was surprisingly good! I also had their topgolf margarita which had good flavor to it but also had a little blue spec floating in it which I suspect was from the scrubbing bristles they use for glasses (at least I knew the glass was likely clean).
Overall, it was what I expected from a Topgolf location, loud music with a fun atmosphere, decent snack foods and drinks, and a good time. We'll most likely return and be sure to request a non-high top bay if we're bringing the kids. This is more of an adults geared establishment, but you could bring your kids if they're fairly...
Read moreHands down one of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had with an establishment. The whole team was willing to go above and beyond to make sure all our wants and needs were accommodated to. Noah is the first person I spoke to in interest about planning a birthday party with Top Golf, he was very informative about what he could offer me and what he believed would be the best option for my party. There were a few things that were very important to us and or that we needed the staff to know. One of those things involved a very serious allergy for one of my guests. They took this issue very seriously and even had the chef come down and discuss details with this guest. She was very kind and expressed that she understood the seriousness of this allergy and would make sure we were taken care of. From the time we arrived at Top Golf to the time that we left, I knew we were in good hands. Our server/event ambassador Jordan was personable and made us feel right at home. He knew how to interact with our group and was extremely knowledgeable about everything Top Golf has to offer. We never wanted for anything and he made sure we were always 100% satisfied. He takes great pride in his ability to perform his job to the highest of standards. Noah and Brent both stopped by to check in on us and made sure we were having a great time. Top Golf should pat themselves on the back for having such amazing employees. Even more so, they should pat their employees on the back for being so amazing. Thank you for creating such a welcoming, fun and memorable experience!...
