Today is my Birthday and I’ve been to 3 different boutiques and couldn’t find ANYTHING that screams “ITS MY BIRTHDAY.!! “ Well that QUICKLY changed once I walked into Akira in Buck-town.!! I initially walked in stressed and over it and while browsing I came across Ed one of the store managers and he greeted me with such an friendly and calming vibe and asked if I was okay and if I found everything okay. I immediately said no with exhaustion and told him it’s me and my twin sister birthday and I wanted to dress similar to her which was SEXY but with CLASS.! I showed him a picture of what she was wearing and he said give my one second and when I say it really was a SECOND.!! He came back with an outfit not only similar but the moment I saw it I put back what was in my hand with no hesitation.! My heart dropped when I seen how fast he put together a full outfit , shoes and accessories.! I was going for an island girl look to match my curly hair and let’s just say Ed expertise and FASHION SKILLS gave me ISLAND GAL PLUSSS MORE.! Only someone with A LOVE FOR FASHION can pull what Ed pulled in ONE MINUTE TO EXACT.! Once I tried everything on my heart again begun to throb because I found myself so insecure after having my twins and not wanting to show too much skin but Ed helped me BRING MY SEXY BACK IN THE MOST CLASSIEST WAY.!!! I couldn’t THANK Ed enough.! He really was heaven sent like God himself helped me find him.! I’m sitting in the car crying writing my review because it’s people like Ed that makes a world difference in such a short period .! Less than 10 mins I was checked out and READY TO SLAY.! Read moreI’ve never shopped at Akira before but have been wanting to since constantly window shopping their online store for about a year, before moving to Chicago a few months ago. I went into this location yesterday to get a few things for my upcoming girls trip to Tulum. This shopping experience was like none other! The staff was so friendly and welcoming asking me what occasion I was shopping for a becoming my personal shoppers. I don’t know the last time I was in a store that actually did that. Jocelyn and Delicious helped me the most pulling items for some themed nights we had planned and adjusting my sizes. It really was so helpful because I went alone with no friends to give their opinion on things. I ended up looking at shoes and there was a BOGO sale so I left with 4 pairs for other seasons as well lol. Read moreAs I am aware of the days & hours or operation. If the company lists a way of contacting support as a customer we assume someone from the company will address the concern. I placed an order on a Sunday (store closed) immediately after I noticed I selected 2 of the same item. I then emailed support, got an automated response my concern will be addressed. Now of course I didnt expect it to be addressed on a Sunday but certainly expected it to be addressed before my order was shipped. Now my order is shipped, its a final sale so I will not be able to do a return.
My disappointment and dissatisfaction is the support I requested should have been addressed prior to shipping. We all make.mistakes and if you are closed especially on weekends with no support to customers, customers should atleast have the option to cancel their order.
