Let me start off with saying I was very excited to come to Piece Brewery . We had a group of 10 celebrating my daughter's birthday. If I could give (Negative stars) I would. The worst pizza and overall experience I have ever had in and restaurant. First I ordered a (Moscow Mule) the drink was brought in a regular small glass and tasted like ice and ginger beer ( not sure if there was any thing else in there (no limes.no go copper mug nothing but a straw) the server stated he forgot the limes and they really don't do mixed drinks. Well I drank water . I'm not into beer and didn't want to fill up before the pizza came but I ordered one anyway as everyone else was having something to drink. So the pizzas finally arrive after a little longer then normal wait and my pizza was not brought out. I was told 5 min it was coming after about 15 min I was notified that it had fallen apart and they had to remake it so I waited drinking my water the rest of the birthday party ate their pizza. Finally after 10 more min or so my pizza arrives as everyone else finished up eating. By then I was just very upset and lost my appetite . The pizza was completely soggy .the toppings fell off or should I say rolled off to the tray left with a paper thin wet plain crust. I couldn't eat. The server say ( hey yeah well ya know I'm not the cook and you asked for a couple toppings) as if it was my fault. He said well will give you half off and do you want me to take it out of your way since it's just sitting there there pizza looks like it's pissing you off)!! The pizza sat till the cleaner tossed the whole thing. Terrible service!! By the way I ordered the Doug pizza and added a couple of toppings same amount as everyone else did on their pizzas. The small pizza seemed to have a paper thin crust as opposed to the medium which seemed slightly thicker. So. now we ordered 6 scoops of ice cream to have with the bakery cake we brought. We set up the cake sang happy birthday.cut and served the cake. We asked several times if the ice cream was coming since we asked for it 10 min or more before we even started to open the cake box. We were told it's coming the girl in the back is getting it as we already finished the cake over 20 min later. Seems the server was not able to handle more then a table a time as we waited for the check. Long wait times. terrible service . the worst part was the disappointing pizza. Born and raised in Chicago I have had my share of pizzas in my almost 50 yrs in Chicago .This is by far...
Read moreAlright, let's talk about a pizza joint that just made my entire day – Piece Brewery & Pizzeria. Picture this: I've been through a marathon of flight delays, finally hopped off the blue line, and stumbled into this haven. Best decision ever.
First things first, the crew at Piece? Absolute legends. I walked in, exhausted and probably looking like a zombie, and they were on it. Offered to stash my luggage at the hostess stand and had me comfortably seated before I could say "pizza party." The vibe was buzzing, the place felt like a warm hug, exactly what I needed after my travel shenanigans.
Now, let's dive into the main event – the pizza. Feeling big hungry, I went all out with a massive sausage, jalapeño, and mushroom pie. Now, I've had Piece pizza before, but this time? Oh man, it was on another level of amazing. Like, 5/5 with zero complaints. And here's the kicker – I took some to-go, and for the next two days, it held up. I'm talking fridge magic, folks.
But hold up, it's not just about the pizza. I also ventured into a Caesar salad and this spinach and tomato dip. The dip was a revelation – bursting with flavors, and those tomatoes in a dip? A game-changer. Never had anything quite like it, but it was a party in my mouth.
Can we take a moment for the drink? Forgot exactly what it was, but trust me, it was like a sip of heaven.
Now, what truly sets this place apart – the crew. Every single person was like the MVP of customer service. Super chill, friendly vibes, and they ran the show like a well-oiled pizza-making machine. You can't beat that kind of teamwork, especially in the city.
Major shoutout to the awesome team at Piece Brewery & Pizzeria. You've officially won me over, and I'm already planning my next pizza pilgrimage. If you're on the hunt for a legit pizza experience, this spot is an...
Read moreI’ve heard such amazing things about Piece for years and finally gave it a go on a Friday night. After calling ahead and being told it was “first come first serve,” I walked in with my group of 5. The hostess told me it would be a 30-minute wait. No sweat — we put our name and phone number in and waited at a nearby bar. After 30 minutes had passed and we hadn’t received a text, we walked back over to check on the table. The same hostess said our names hadn’t registered in the system, so we never would have received a text. Thankfully, they were able to find a table for us. Our server was kind, but disappeared after taking our drink order for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered two of their special pizzas (the atomic sausage and honey butter fried chicken), a custom white pie and guacamole. The guacamole (ordered because we were starving) was not seasoned and the chips were store bought. The pies, which we came there for, were completely overcooked. I like a crispy crust, but this crust was like eating pita chips topped with the most minuscule amount of sauce and cheese. The toppings were delicious but were placed so sparingly on the pizza that they got lost on the atrociously cooked crust. The five of us eating were all disappointed — both by the food but also the general lack of service and attentiveness. This was a huge disappointment as we have all heard such amazing things about Piece. I can’t imagine I’ll be back...
