My bf and I just bought a house and we went furniture shopping at multiple stores. We found a couch we loved and purchased it from Jeromes. Weeks went by and I heard nothing about the couch but Jeromes sent me multiple emails a day about their “deals and specials”. I ended up calling and they told me that it should be getting shipped soon. I wanted another two weeks and went into the store, at this point it was going to be a month with no information on when we would get our couch. When we went into the store the lady that we asked about our couch was very rude and showed no empathy for our situation... a house with no furniture. There was a piece of the couch set that we bought in the store and we asked if we could just take that and she said “no because then we can’t sell it”. The only thing she told us was to pick something else if we weren’t happy with waiting. We looked and there was nothing that we liked. I’m just confused on why when I first purchased the couch they didn’t explain how long it would take. When I looked online it said the couch I wanted was available in San Diego so I assumed it wouldn’t be more than a week or two. I was clearly wrong. Finally (not because they emailed me) I checked online and it said that it was “available”. They never reached out to me so again I called them and they said “oh yeah, it’s available. When would you like it delivered?”. I said as soon as possible and the man told me it could be delivered Thursday and I said okay that sounds good. He said okay someone will confirm with you on Wednesday. No one ever contacted me. So I called on Thursday and they said oh it’s actually scheduled to be delivered on Friday. I said no I spoke with someone and he said it would be delivered on Thursday. He said I’m sorry but the note says Friday. I said there is no way to have someone come today? And he said no the trucks already went out. I said that you guys are very poor at communicating. He said sorry. I said sorry doesn’t really do anything for me. I won’t be shopping with you guys again. He just said sorry again. So then today they finally get delivered and the delivery people were great they did everything right. But the couches themselves did not have the holes lined up where they were supposed to be so we had to find the holes ourselves to put the legs in. Overall HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience, will not shop here again. If they actually had good customer service and communicated with their customers better then it could have been a much better experience. I understand it’s still covid times so things might be different with shipping and everything but you should be able to at least warn your customers that it might be months before you get what...
Read moreIncompetence. I don't like to come off as a Karen but our experience with this business has been THEE worst aspect of our whole home buying experience. We purchased everything from their "PREMIER" collection. Over $11,000 of stuff. The salesmen at the showrooms are very nice, a bit clingy but still nice. Cashiers are without emotion and very vague. We were told some pieces were out of stock and would be delayed, we paid for white glove service. Fast forward a week the way they do deliveries is the honestly the worst way I have ever dealt with, give a day they contacted you with less than 24hrs with a 5hr window that is ever changing. No white gloves worn by the workers, they said it wasn't on the order to take our old mattress when we clearly told the workers at Jerome's that we needed removal. They "could hook us up" and take it, assembly was quick even tho some chairs were missing the bottom feet, when we started looking at our $2,500/pc loveseats realized that there was a cushion backing piece missing. Let the workers know, they took a picture and gave us their word that it was their fault and they'd personally deliver it the next evening. Next day followed up with him to no response then reached out to the store and Customer Service to verify he reported the missing piece. A. Whole. Month. Later we're still talking to CS and Showroom employees, 3 delivery attempts with nothing on the trucks for us that's 3 weekend days with time legitimately wasted waiting for nothing. Over 20 phone calls from the showroom, service people, Customer service and just today the delivery people called us that their is nothing on the truck for us. It's 1 piece of the loveseat construction and it can't just be shipped to us for some odd reason, Customer Service doesn't work on the weekends and for whatever reason no one can help us. The furniture is great. That's the one star here(.5 for sales), everything else trash. Hott Molten Garbáge. This doesn't cover the fact that the charged us for a whole extra Loveseat without our consent and weren't going to let us know til I called and disputed the charge. That is not our piece to pay for if your logistics lost our cushion backing, took 3 phone calls to get sorted out. Stay Clear of this Place, buy anywhere else. If you have a successful order then great but we'd rather pay more at a boutique next time then to deal with this company. Here's to the bot that's gonna want me to...
Read moreWe purchased the "Riley" 9pc dining room set in October. Two weeks after it arrived, we noticed one of the leg braces was loose and separating. I pushed it back in and discovered a screw was missing from the bottom. I then noticed the two bolts on the same leg were loose and that I could loosen them with my bare hands. I checked all eight chairs and discovered a total of 20 loose chair bolts.
As I looked underneath the table today after speaking to customer service about the loose chairs, I additionally discovered a ridiculous amount of weird staples. Some of which were actually half attached and pointed down. I have no idea what purpose they serve or why they are there. I have included photos for this review because you can be the judge.
I shouldn't be made to feel that I must stand over somebody as they assemble my dining room table and chairs. The bottom line is I am very concerned about the safety regarding the missing screw, loose bolts, and dangerous staples, which have no place or reason to be underneath a table.
Both the salesman and customer service person were nice, but I do believe it is only fair to provide this to you, the other consumers, to make sure you examine your furniture before the delivery people run away.....
In fairness, I was credited my delivery back from Jerome's, but I still feel they need to address this issue at every level.
The salesman was Ediberto and the West Covina Lakes location was where we purchased the table. This was added so Jerome's may contact the salesperson to reach out to me. Ediberto was apologetic and helpful, but my review still stands regarding the shotty workmanship of assembly on the...
