we got there late at night on 8/7/20. my wife and I decided to spend a few hours in the visitors parking lot since we were so tired and I could not drive anymore. We were approached by a very unfriendly park officer. He was extremely rude . We explained to him that we have been driving from Arizona and are very tired, and we just need a couple of hours. He was very argumentative and forced us to leave even though it was not a safe thing to do. Thanks to the grocery store manager near the park who was kind enough to let us park our van in their parking lot for a few hours. To top it off, when the park officer went back to his car, he walked backwards as if to tell us that I am concerned that you may shoot me in the back. . Where do they find such friendly people.
