This is NOT a safe place for people of color. My brother and I came in looking for some bracelets, and were about to purchase, but decided that we didn't want to give them our business. ALL the employees were hovering TOO close to us and it felt like they were watching our every move. It essentially felt like shark week. Imagine 6 employees hovering and checking on your every minute while you’re deciding what color bracelet you want. It seemed like they already had preconceived notions just based on our skin tone while other people NOT of color were just wandering without the stares or consistently violating our personal space. They made my brother have an anxiety attack with how much they violated our space, and how targeted he felt. What kind of establishment allows this? Would NEVER recommend coming here. On a pinch and out of town, visited the Kimberly Boutique to get a blouse to replace one I was wearing which was stained by coffee. I bought a blouse for $75 and used it once. After washing, the material had pilled or showed signs of damage. I returned the blouse by mail at my expense and the owner, Kimberly, refused to do anything to resolve the issue. When on to say that I must of rubbed something against it, but even so whether it was a sweater I had on, or the crossbody purse I was using, the material should not have pilled AFTER ONE USE! Poor quality material and as an owner, she should have proposed to make good on her sale. Something?! So, I'm stuck with a blouse that was inferior in quality. Read moreVery disappointing experience at Kimberly Gift Shop. There was nobody really working or managing the store, and when staff finally interacted, they were rude instead of welcoming. A souvenir that was already unstable shifted about an inch, nothing was damaged, yet the worker immediately accused me of dropping it and breaking it. That accusation was absolutely insane and made the whole visit very unpleasant.
