This rating is reflective of the customer service at the West Hartford, CT location. Unfortunately, the manager of the store appears to struggle tremendously with treating a customer respectfully. While on a number of occasions when the store was open for in person shopping I witnessed her disrespectful and condescending communication towards customers, I can now speak first hand to experiencing the same. While I commend corporate for standing by their employees, I feel that it is a great disservice that they are doing to their customers if they do not look into this further. A manager should be able to handle the negative customer experiences just as well as the positive experiences. However, the West Hartford store manager becomes unprofessional when presented with a challenging situation. The male clerk rang up my order never mentioning the free item that was supposed to come with every purchase.after the sale I asked why I didn't receive it and was berated for not mentioning it before the sale was complete.i apologized but afterward I felt a bit angry at the clerks tone and attitude .the last time I was there the woman clerk gave me the free item without my bringing it up it. I love this store but was very disappointed and put off by this last experience. I felt that the clerk was pretty rude.    Read moreI have shopped in this store for as long as it has existed in the Center. My experience in trying to buy some Rosemary on Monday, June 22nd was very unpleasant. As I was in the Center, I thought I would pop in. I had to call the number posted on the door from the sidewalk, talk to the woman inside by herself, over the phone. Once she showed me exactly what I wanted, I had to give her ALL the pertinent charge card info while standing on the sidewalk. When she brought my package to the door, I was told to step away from the door, while she placed my package on the crate and not pick it up until she was back behind the door. It was a bit much! If this is the new way of actual store retail, I question how long we will see...
