Love this place! Yes they do still require masks for everyone's safety! They are allowing children in, but if they are able to walk, they need to wear a mask unless in the cart or being held. As someone commented below if you do not have a mask, you are more than welcome to purchase one for $0.89. They ask for you to not to leave the line because we can't wait if someone is behind you waiting in line at the register. They would've had to void the transaction and then you would have to go to the back of the line to re-scan your items. No they do not know Mr. Menards personally to tell him what news channel to stop watching and to start watching. He doesn't even know I exist. Also being upset about the mask policy doesn't give you the right to touch them. As stayed earlier, you are REQUIRED to wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose (don't leave your nose out because it's like not wearing your underwear properly I mean come on) at all times. If a cashier asks you to pull up your mask, just do it or it'll cause a big fuss if you don't comply and that'll ruin the employees day. Just comply it's not hard and if you don't want to, then you can gladly take your business elsewhere. Also if you do take off your mask in the store, you will be asked to put it back on or asked to leave. I've only been going here a month and they do have bad days so be patient. They try our best to be! They are people too. It is private property and privately owned so please do remember...
Read moreA living nightmare. Out of nowhere fire alarms were blaring, employees running, and customers completely stunned and unaware of what to do. After standing there in shock for some time, an employee finally walked up to me and said I could continue to shop because it was an accidental set off of the sprinkler system. I walk through the store only to realize I have no idea how to get back to the front of the store (first time/last time visitor). If there had been a fire, I wouldn't have made it out. Several attempts and minutes later I find the front door I came in. BUT the door I came in cannot be accessed to go out. In fact, there isn't a way to it with a cart. I'm finally directed by a rude condescending employee to go around some aisles where a second front door and registers are. The absolute dumbest setup I have ever seen. I pay for my purchases and head out the door where I have to walk through a river of water coming out of the store (a busted water pipe not the sprinkler system) and around a fire truck across the parking lot because why on earth would they want you to park by the door you intend to come out of? So to recap, ridiculous store setup, employees won't alert you of potential death till you're a ball of curled up nerves , park between the two doors (have no idea if carts are at the second door, betting no), and bring bread crumbs. I'll pray for your...
Read moreI generally enjoy shopping here. pricing is great and the staff is always kind and helpful. What I don't like is that I can't find the item from time to time. I sometimes check their website to see which aisle the items are in before actually shopping at the store. The website's stock info and location is reliable, but sometimes Menards places the items not only in the aisle they should belong to, but also in spots not indicated on the website (such as endcaps or near the cashier). The website only shows the aisle where the item originally belongs, so if it's placed on an endcap, the website won’t suggest that, even though it still shows how many are in stock.
Today, I came in to buy caulk. The website showed there were 40 in stock, but when I checked the listed aisle, there were none. I searched nearby areas and endcaps, and even asked staff for help, but they could not locate the caulk.
This wasn’t the first time I experienced this. Another time, the staff were able to find the item at a very far endcap, but sometimes, like today they couldn’t find it at all. It’s a bit frustrating to not find the item and go home empty-handed, knowing that plenty are in stock. They are just placed in a...
