there's a reason they call this store "best west". i was once a regular at this store. from the day it opened its doors, until the day i took a job in northern california, mine was a face that regularly populated this special coffee shop. had i not taken that job i would still frequent the store, and having visited many starbucks stores in my new city, i can confidently say that you really don't know what you've got 'till it's gone. none of the coffee shops i've visited have felt like home the way this one did. i've been around the block a time or two, and you just don't find smiles as genuine as jacob's, or as sweet as ingrid's outside of this store. nobody is as caring as ashley, and nobody brightens your morning like chelsea. the unfailing competence of trinity, mackenzie, and jim ensures you're always getting a quality cuppa, from a the cleanest store you'll ever visit. and can you believe that jim has walked to work all winter?? there are precious few things i admire more than doing one's part for the environment. but combining that effort in the name of quality coffee is something i'll never forget. and your quality beverage won't come slow either. i've quietly observed the likes of cole and makayla guide folks through the drivethru with all kinds of complex orders in a fashion you'd have to call expeditious. lia, james, and kiriel all have a natural way of treating you like an old friend, no matter how newly acquainted you've become. there's plenty of people on the night crew, like austin and nikki, whose personalities are so magnetic they make you wish you were sharing with them an evening beverage stronger than coffee. nobody in the world proves that age ain't nothing but a number like the one and only esther. i always liked when she was at the register because if she is the first person you speak to in the morning, brothers and sisters i tell you your day cannot be a bad one. i know i speak for all of west lafayette when i wish the best for ali and her little one. then there's jade, and if i ever win the lottery...well, never mind. the head hancho at this place is lacie, who seems from afar like just about the best boss anybody could ever have. i'm sure i don't have to tell her, but she's got the best bunch of baristas from benton county to bangkok. so ya, there's a reason they call this place "best west". the reason is the vibrant, affable, and incomparable crew that keeps this place running with the kind of hard work it takes to earn that name. having caught more than my fair share of bad breaks in this life, i didn't always walk into "best west" starbucks with a smile on my face or a song in my heart. but without fail, the people who work at this store always lifted my spirit, often higher than i knew it could fly. i do not exaggerate when i say that there were times when simply knowing these baristas made me happy to be alive. i just hope they knew how i felt about them before i moved away. hey did lacie fire that matt guy?...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a long-term customer here. I went to this drive thru an hour ago and bought two cups of hot coffee, one of which was not tightly closed, and when I went to get it, the coffee spilled on my legs and car. When I went into the store and told him that you didn't close the lid and the coffee spilled on my car, the coffee spilled on my car. They just said I'll make you another cup, no apology or attitude. My pants were all wet and my legs were burned. I was very angry and went to wash my car. Then when I came back, I asked if their manager was there. Their manager came and didn't ask me anything.. told me there was a new cup of coffee and gave me a coupon. I said: it's not a cup of coffee. Then I didn't take what they gave me and went back to the car. I called their store again and talked to their manager. Their manager knew it was me from the beginning. No apology attitude was given to me. Then asked me what I wanted him to do. I said give my money back and you will lose a loyal customer. Then I told him that no one has explained or apologized for this matter since I went into the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām someone who spends at least $20 every single day at Starbucksābetween breakfast and two venti coffees. That adds up to over $500 a month. Unfortunately, this particular store has consistently provided one of the worst experiences Iāve had at any Starbucks location. The restrooms are often unclean, and there is never any bathroom tissue available. Despite visiting the store multiple times, the staff regularly fail to call my name when my order is ready, even though they call out names for other customers. My wife and I have also noticed a troubling pattern: the staff enthusiastically greet and acknowledge other customers as they walk in, but when we enterāespecially when my wife is wearing her hijabāweāre routinely ignored.
Iām someone who always tries to give others the benefit of the doubt, so Iāve given this store multiple chances. But after repeated experiences like this, it feels as though weāre not being treated as valued customers.
Itās disappointing and disheartening to spend so much at a place that doesnāt show us basic respect or...
